Just here and the owners are super nice. Great location right on the edge of the forest. Room great. Super cute and clean with tablet, water, safe...For a 3* hotel, from us 10*Gigantic view of cows and meadow. Breakfast 100 points. Homemade rolls. Where else is the butter available? Large selection.Unfortunately our first review is gone, so here it is again 😀

We stayed at the warmly welcomed Gassbachtal Hotel for three days and felt very comfortable. The breakfast with homemade rolls and delicious bread gave us the strength for the surrounding hikes in the Odenwald. We were very satisfied and will come back.

Beautiful location on the edge of the forest and near the Nibelungensteig.Check-in can be done easily at any time using a welcome letter and a key box with a PIN. The hotel is older, exudes a certain retro charm, but is in the process of being renovated. The rooms are large, spacious, clean. We had a balcony with a beautiful view of the greenery. Classic breakfast with very tasty home-baked bread and rolls. There is a self-service lounge and a great modern roof terrace with a sauna. The operators are warm, friendly and helpful. The place is easy to reach on foot. We had a pleasant stay.

Nice and helpful innkeeper! The rooms are very cozy and well equipped, the breakfast was excellent!There are also offers for relaxation, such as a sauna, hammocks, and a self lounge with games and various drinks.

Very nice, quiet small hotel run by a warm couple. The rooms have been partially renovated and the bathroom is small but functional. If you love peace and quiet and delicious homemade bread, rolls and cakes, this is the place for you. In general, the breakfast is very tasty and you don't miss anything. The self-service lounge is very practical and you can get drinks there from 5 p.m. to around 10 p.m. and enjoy the large roof terrace. For dinner we can recommend the local pizzeria, which is within walking distance.You can start beautiful hikes and motorcycle tours from there. We once again felt very comfortable and would love to come back - thank you for a nice weekend!

Very nice owners of the hotel. We had a classic room, which is still pretty old-fashioned, but somehow cool. It was very clean and I somehow liked the pink tiles in the bathroom 😄. There are also newly renovated and modern rooms. Breakfast was very good, especially the homemade rolls and bread. Location is right next to the forest, very quiet and great for hiking or cycling.

We stayed at the Hotel Gassbachtal for 5 nights, arrived on our bikes and really enjoyed our stay. On the first evening we were greeted by cattle beyond the balcony railing, wonderful! The peace and quiet almost at the end of the street was good for us, as was the friendly and courteous nature of the operators. They were always available for advice and assistance or just for a friendly chat. The service for breakfast or other questions was great.We felt completely comfortable and would have happily extended our vacation there if work hadn't called.The slightly older ambience of the hotel is very well integrated into the renovations and design, which we particularly liked. You rarely find this much style in inexpensive accommodation! We will definitely come back because everything went well and maybe we'll have a few pieces of cake again?

The location right on the edge of the forest is fantastic. The rooms are newly renovated and clean. The roof terrace is great for relaxing. The breakfast is very cheap at 9.50 euros and you have everything you need including scrambled eggs. We'd love to come back!

I slept here one night on the hike on the Nibelungensteig. The hotel is located right on the path, is very comfortably furnished and its location near the forest makes it very quiet. Unfortunately there are no kettles in the rooms.Breakfast times are from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.Note for all early hikers: if you book through Booking, you can book without breakfast.

We came here for a short vacation. The rooms are simple but cozy and clean. The service from the operating couple was simply warm and very accommodating. The beautiful area invites you to linger in nature. A wide range of restaurants in the immediate vicinity leaves nothing to be desired.We'd love to come back.

We redeemed an Animod voucher for the hotel.It is quietly located on a hill at the end of the village.Our late arrival wasn't a problem because the keys were easily accessible.The room exuded a certain Black Forest clinic charm.It's just a little old, but well maintained.The current multimedia offering includes Sky access, free WiFi and a tablet.Breakfast was completely sufficient and appropriate for the price. It was offered in the in-house café, which is unfortunately currently closed. Actually charming with large windows and terrace, but according to the owner it can no longer be used due to a lack of staff.Anyone who can do without luxury is in good hands here.

Hotel reception entrance is a bit unclear. Sit up on the left. Looks like private entrance. The room is good. Good bed. Clean but outdated bathroom. The hotel itself is nicely decorated. Breakfast is nothing special.

We were there for 4 days. The hotel is a bit old, with 80s furnishings, but we like that. Where else can you find a built-in radio in the bedside cabinet? Room super clean, bed and pillows great, staff very attentive and friendly and breakfast sufficient. The surroundings are pure nature. Good starting point for beautiful forest hikes! We felt very comfortable and can warmly recommend the hotel for a short vacation in the beautiful Odenwald with a clear conscience!

We arrived with an Animod voucher and were thrilled. The location is very suitable for hiking and relaxing and we received a very friendly welcome.We were also directly recommended some excursion destinations.The rooms were very clean and nicely laid out with a balcony. The older style in the room in particular had a lot of charm and we immediately felt at home!The breakfast is varied and there is something for everyone.It is very worth mentioning that the rolls and bread are baked in-house!It's not without reason that the café has won multiple awards! The cakes and tarts are a dream and were super delicious!My husband forgot his wedding ring in the bathroom and we contacted us straight away and sent it back using a parcel stamp - again a lot of friendliness and understanding!We would love to come back and are already looking forward to another visit!

The hotel is located directly on the Nibelungensteig and therefore fit perfectly into the route. I had already announced in advance that I wanted to stay overnight with my dog, which is why I was assigned a simple, older-style room - everything was clean and definitely sufficient for one night! The view from the balcony was also very nice.The staff was super nice and special requests were responded to very friendly! After a hearty breakfast we were able to move on strengthened 😊
