Fine for one night. Rooms are a bit old and smell a bit musty. My bed wasn't made properly. Unfortunately it was already late for me and there was no more service. The bathroom was modern and clean.

An unexpected retro experience – as nostalgic as mold!If you've always wanted to combine the authentic charm of a dusty museum with the coolness of an abandoned building, then this hotel is just right for you! Since the original owners passed away about 20 years ago, no one seems to have cared about its condition - which makes about the same difference as the sad radio box from 1950 next to your bed.The outdoor area is a true natural experience: piles of rubbish, broken lanterns and a collection of weeds that look as if the flora has defended itself against human intervention. The windows are so full of bird droppings that you wonder if the birds wanted to move into the property. Once perhaps an idyllic beer garden, today a post-apocalyptic scenario. The tangled cables are even still peeking out from some of the lampposts. Art, I tell you!The new operators? Renovation? A foreign word. The doorknobs are an adventure all their own: they fall off regularly, giving the simple joy of turning any room into a mystery. After all, the bedside lamp was creatively relocated to the bathroom - as the only source of light. The broken lamps and the trash can with the lid torn off top it all off. Who needs working lights or intact trash cans? Luxury problems, really.The highlight: the leftover toothpaste in the sink. Crusty souvenirs from previous guests – that’s a personal touch!And the reception? Probably just as alive as the radio – no one there to complain. But who needs service when you can experience so much *character*?Simply put: If you want a unique time travel experience to a hotel that has been frozen for decades, book here. A unique experience that I will *definitely* never forget. Thanks for nothing!

That something like this can call itself a country inn...? Very unclean room. The bathroom was dirty and totally run down. The mirror probably hasn't been cleaned for many weeks. Thick dust on the baseboards. The furniture is run down and rotten. The carpet is dirty and stained.There is no service at all. We were at a party in Erzhausen. Another couple immediately turned around and didn't even unpack. The motivation of the gentleman at the reception was zero!!! I have never experienced anything like it!!!! From the outside the house appears unkempt and run down. It really wasn't worth the money. Absolutely not recommended.Robert Topoll, Dielheim

First of all, the rooms I booked were given to other people and we then had to move to worse rooms, as the lady at the reception said. The first sight in the room was a cart full of cleaning supplies and trash. The rooms themselves are dirty and unsightly. The bathroom looks disgusting and you feel more like you're in a refugee camp than a hotel.The health department should take a look here.Stay away!

We booked a stay at the Margaretenhof for one night at short notice. We were just able to check in personally at 8 p.m., after which the reception would have been closed and we could have gotten the key from a key safe after calling (the offer said that the reception would be occupied until 10 p.m.). The elevator was broken - the floor of the room was dirty, the radiator cover was missing, there was only one towel and one shower towel for two people. Luckily there was a service trolley in the hallway where I found not only dirty laundry but also a clean shower towel / there was no one there to ask for a shower towel. Simple bathroom / sink without a stopper - old dirt / incrustations in the drain - toilet in the washing area, next to it a bathtub with a shower curtain. There are some guests in the hotel who we didn't really know were hotel guests or were they accommodated as asylum seekers. Room key didn't match the main entrance. Luckily a side entrance was open, so my wife and I came back into the hotel after a smoke break - we didn't smoke out the window like other guests. The room smelled strongly of room fragrance, probably a guest had smoked in the room before and the taste was sprayed away. The beds were OK for one night. We didn't book breakfast. We definitely won't be coming back

Actually only minus stars fit here.Breakfast would have been something from the fridge. The room was dirty and in a neglected condition. The lift only runs to a limited extent. First we had to pay the room rate. We never received a receipt, not even when we asked. If someone wants to spend the night here, that's their business. Don't say you weren't warned.

I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.You have to give at least 1 star, but actually the hotel owes us 5 stars.1) The room is a complete disaster.I was born in the early 70s, but I don't know which is older - me or the inventory of the room. The heater cover is missing and there was a strange wire hanging from the heater. The lamp on the table had no bulb and the shade was loose, so the lamp kept falling over and the shade fell down. The beds are very close to the ground and the mattresses are more like hammocks, which is what my wife felt all day at the book fair. The window curtains also didn't look like they had been washed or cleaned regularly.But the worst thing was the toilet flushing. One of us went to pee and flushed. Afterwards the other one went to the toilet for a bigger business and the flush didn't work. We then tried the shower head - and first flooded half the bathroom because water was spraying out of the connection between the shower head and the hose. After 2 (!) hours the flushing worked again.2) The staff was friendly. We cannot judge the service itself as we only saw the staff at check-in and check-out.3) The location is fine. The hotel is located a little outside of Erzhausen, but the train station, for example, is 1-2 km away on foot and you can easily get to Frankfurt by S-Bahn every 30 minutes.

Unfortunately you have to award a point otherwise it would be zero. Totally run down and worn out. The heating panel was missing. Brown curtains from the 50s and not as shown online. You can't expect anyone to stay overnight. The entrance no lighting or broken. There is no breakfast as advertised online that I wouldn't eat there even after the tour. I have nothing against old things. They just need to be well-groomed and clean. Mold, musty, etc. in the bathroom. For fitters who don't care about anything, it's possible. Too high a price for nothing. Bought toilet paper myself because nothing was refilled. I could say more but I won't. Nothing will change anyway.
