Tranquil country inn with different room categories. An interesting mix of new and old that develops its own charm. Unfortunately, regular restaurant operations are suspended, so you cannot stop in for a meal without registering in advance. However, there is the possibility to purchase various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the vending machine/refrigerator both outside and inside (then only for hotel guests). My room was very spacious, even the bathroom was generously sized and in good condition.The breakfast buffet offers everything you need. The service, as far as I needed it at all, was impeccable and overall very warm and familiar.

Hello, we celebrated with the family at the estate, it was very nice! Our antique suite (2 rooms) has a lot of space, the food: the venison goulash is second to none, and I don't want to leave unmentioned the atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly, and the service, with its friendly and confident manner, deserves special praise. We would be happy to come back.

We were in the trailer for a few days and had the stream on our doorstep. It was great with the dog and the stream. A great breakfast buffet and dinner was great. The Metzger family was super nice and always helpful. We'll definitely be back

A discovery of a really special kind🤗 an ancient building from which a country hotel was conjured up that would have well and truly deserved to be called a romantic hotel.

Well, I don't know how you come up with such reviews, but the hotel or whatever you can call this haunted place is definitely not recommended for assembly people who have worked in the cold all day! These are thick natural stone walls that absorb the cold and these pseudo radiators on the ceiling are of no use, especially since there was only a postage stamp to cover! My colleague and I slept in our clothes because it was unbearably cold. The heat from the radiator on the ceiling didn't reach me at all! When you shower, the entire bathroom is under water and you have to use a slider to pull the water towards the floor drain... I would like to let the operators sleep on the mattresses in the beds, because every slightest movement ends in loud creaking and that too The entire ambience is really creepy! The musty smell in the building adds to the rest... apart from where is a restaurant, we only saw one party location that you have to book! Please don't be fooled by the pictures online, they give you a completely different picture of how it actually is realistically on site and that's exactly the point... actually almost a scam! Doesn't correspond to the facts at all and is not recommended!

Very tasty onion roast and just as delicious the lamb curry. Only the vanilla ice cream in the ice cream cafe was not good because it was full of ice crystals and unfortunately gave me a stomach ache afterwards. It's a shame, because otherwise everything was very, very tasty. It is best to use a different ice cream for the ice cream cafe.Boss was remarkably friendly!We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

The Untere Mühle estate is highly recommended, the location alone is brilliant and a pleasure for the eyes and the soul. If you're looking for a place to unwind, this is the place to be and it's the right place. Plus very friendly operators and reasonable prices, what more could you want. We were definitely not here for the last time and will definitely come back.

UPDATE:Since Ms. Metzger has already commented on this review, I would like to add:Yes, there are certainly different understandings of “close to nature”. As described, the country estate and probably the other rooms are beautiful and the restaurant is highly recommended. For us, the apartment just didn't fit our expectations.———————-We spent one night here and unfortunately left quite disappointed.The rooms were already fully booked, so we took the holiday apartment - it was significantly more expensive, but a night on a country estate with donkeys, sheep and its own wool factory was worth it to us.The two main buildings of the farm are beautiful, the reception area has a rustic design and the wool shop seems to have nice pieces, but was unfortunately closed.Unfortunately, our holiday apartment was completely different than expected. It was advertised as having a 4-star certification (we generally don't put too much emphasis on it) - but that seems to have been a long time ago. Furniture from the 70s, dusty carpets and forgotten Christmas decorations. Everything was clean. However, it is debatable whether the regular cleaning fee of 25 euros for two people and one night is actually justified.Unfortunately, the promise “As neighbors, our guests have a small flock of sheep, consisting of two sheep and our donkeys Heinz and Renate.” was not kept either. There was a blue plastic sheep behind the house and the view pointed to the small concrete area behind the donkey stable. We couldn't find any (real) sheep anywhere on the farm...Away from the main buildings, the area seems quite neglected: overgrown paths, the donkeys stand a bit off to the side in a very wild meadow and the spring lake is so algae that those who jump in after a sauna can certainly climb out again with good vegetation. Sure, it's all natural. But it can also be maintained.By the way, the food was great! Would be worth a few stars too!
