Attention RIP-OFF!This review refers to the café at the hotel. On a chilly afternoon we wanted to have a piece of cake with coffee/tea. The display “homemade cakes with a cup of coffee for €6.50” piqued our interest. The cafe looks neat and clean, but that's about it for the good. Of the five cakes offered, three were definitely not made in-house. I wanted to turn around and leave, but my husband wanted to eat hazelnut cake. Three pieces of cake were ordered, one with coffee, one with tea and one with cola for the child. The cake was absolutely tasteless, made from cheap ready-made bases and cream mixed together from ready-made powder. Every cake from Dr. Oetker or Fertige from Coppenrath is a thousand times tastier. The surprise(ver...) came with the bill. We were charged €6.50 three times (offer with the coffee) and €4.00 each for tea and coke on top. I would have accepted it if we had been served a total of 3 cups of coffee, but this was not the case. For me it's a clear case of rip-off!Not recommended!

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Hotel Aurichs in Meersburg. The room was in a shockingly unclean condition: most notably, the toilet seat was completely yellowed and dirty. After we politely pointed out the deficiencies to the landlord, he reacted in an extremely unfriendly and cheeky manner. His answer was that the building was listed and he would not renovate anything. For me, however, a hygienic toilet seat is definitely not part of monument protection. We then decided to check out straight away and were greeted provocatively and, as usual, unfriendly at the front door by the innkeeper. As a guest at the Hotel Aurichs you feel absolutely worthless, and it seems that the customer has no right to objectively express his opinion. I can't recommend the hotel at all, especially because of the boss's miserable treatment of his guests.

I can only report about the restaurant. Not about the hotel. The waitresses and the owner were extremely friendly and nice. The prices and abundance of glasses in a good price-performance ratio. Would recommend due to the good location, comfortable seating and great view.

Actually wanted to eat cake and drink coffee. We didn't really like the cakes when we looked at them in the display and so we decided to look for something else. Which is actually not unusual. The. The boss insulted us on the stairs and told us not to enter his restaurant again. We didn't say anything, we just left. And then this reaction. Incomprehensible. He would decide who went in and out of here. Luckily, other tourists also noticed this impossible behavior and wanted to stay away from this restaurant. So if you can't even change your mind, that's really sad. Not recommendable !!!!!

I would say a little insider tip. We were only here for coffee and cake (I can't rate the hotel). The cake is homemade, just check the counter to see what's there. Friendly service. Would definitely come back.
