For one person 149€ including breakfast in a junior suite/family room is a very high amount for the simple standard and quality of the room. There are a lot of details missing, e.g. the reading lights on the bed cannot be switched on individually, either the entire room lighting is on or everything is off, which is not a particularly nice atmosphere for reading in bed.In the second room of the suite there is a table with a chair, but unfortunately you look in vain for a socket, which is extremely bad for working.The most annoying thing, however, is the very loud squeaking of the elevator when it is used. The suites are right next to the elevator shaft, so as soon as the first guest uses the elevator in the morning you are awake.I had already mentioned this to reception in the evening and there was no alternative room as they were all occupied.The information that a technician was already in the house because of the squeaking and that the elevator is technically OK doesn't help either.The windows in the rooms do not have any special soundproofing. If a delivery is made to the hotel around 5:30 in the morning, this can be heard very clearly in the room.The fact that the mattress has an additional rubber cover, presumably to protect it from incontinent guests, is absolutely unpleasant. You sweat on this rubber pad and it's like lying on a plastic sheet.During check out I mentioned the points about the very annoying squeaking and the lighting solution. Apart from a thank you for the tip and yes, we can hear the squeaking very clearly here, there was no reaction or accommodation.All in all a very disappointing visit to this hotel.

No air conditioning in the room we occupied, so windows open to bring in some nighttime coolness. No mosquitoes but noise from the industrial zone where the hotel is located... not ideal!

We stayed as a cycling group at the Hotel Schlossberg. After the friendly welcome, we were able to safely store our e-bikes in the lockable garages. The rooms are modern, bright and cozy, the open, walk-in shower is more than spacious. In the evening we ordered individually according to the menu. All dishes were served at the same time and tasted delicious. This hotel is simply recommended, whether for business people or for vacation. By the way, you can go on beautiful bike tours throughout the region.

A Best Western like dozens of others, which is not meant negatively but rather speaks for a reliable standard!The room was clean, tidy and equipped with a capsule machine and a small bottle of mineral water, the WiFi was sufficiently stable and the breakfast had everything from yogurt to fruit, various types of sausage, cheese, boiled eggs and scrambled eggs with bacon as well as fresh bread and rolls.Unfortunately, a big annoyance was the one WMF gastro coffee machine that had to supply the entire breakfast room and was therefore far too slow to serve more than one guest with coffee. At peak times there was a long queue in front of it and you literally had to do a slalom to get it to come over. Also suboptimal if, of course, a guest got coffee for several people and then blocked the coffee machine for 5-10 minutes until all the capuccinos, latte machiatos and lattes were ready.Offering a coffee pot at the table would provide a lot of relaxation here.Edit May 2024:______________________________________________________________Now that the castle hotel is no longer a Best Western and the criticism of the coffee machine has been eliminated by purchasing a second one, I can unreservedly recommend the hotel in all respects.I was there for the third time in a row this year and will be happy to come back again on future visits______________________________________________________________

Modern and cozy hotel with wonderful views. I felt completely comfortable. Particularly noteworthy are the very friendly staff and the breakfast buffet. Rarely have I had such crispy, fresh rolls as I did here! Rooms are very nicely decorated. All in all, only recommended. I'd love to come back!

We were told that breakfast was included in the room rate. The next day after breakfast - we had a coffee, nothing more - that's why we only wanted to book an overnight stay, two breakfasts were charged. Explanation: unfortunate misunderstanding that we had to pay for.

I can't say anything about the rooms. We come here often to eat, and so far we have always been very satisfied! But today was different. Maybe it's because it's Rose Monday, but if there's schnitzel with fries, but you don't like fries and you ask if there's spaetzle instead (which are on the menu!) and you're then told that it's 2.50 (!) euros more, then that's steep. The sour tripe, which we come here for at carnival, was served with fried potatoes that weren't cooked through. We had tripe 3 times, my dad mentioned about the potatoes, just so the chef would know, and he was then given a cappuccino as an apology. The other 2, who also had tripe (and therefore the undercooked potatoes), went away empty-handed. It's a shame, it wasn't overly stressful and we know the service differently. Also as far as the amount of food was concerned - it was a bit small for a grown man. My brother had to order a burger after the tripe because he wasn't full. As I said, we know it differently and will definitely come back. We'll just blame it on the exceptional situation of Fasnet. However, we were actually disappointed today 🤷🏼♀️Staff is otherwise great!

I stayed at Schlossberg for an overnight stay on business and can happily recommend it.Modernly furnished rooms, a good breakfast buffet and free parking in front of the hotel.I slept well and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.
