Braunlage is a place that we find beautiful and therefore enjoy visiting. Since we like to have breakfast and dinner during our overnight stays, the guesthouse was a good option. The location is on the outskirts of the city. Rooms have older furnishings, but everything you need is there. The tasty dinner is worth highlighting. The breakfast is also sufficient and varied. The view on the 2nd floor is fantastic. We'd love to come back.

You have a nice view of Braunlage from above, but you have to get to the top first. The rooms are functional, but are getting old. It is very noisy, but it was quiet at night. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet is very good. Dogs are welcome here.

We were a bit “afraid” of the half board because “whatever is on the table will be eaten”. But for us as non-vegetarians there was nothing to complain about - delicious home cooking every evening. The rooms have the charm of the 80s, are well maintained and clean, but a bit noisy. Anyway, we had a great week's vacation there.

- Price performance ratio very good- Very nice and courteous owners- rich and high-quality breakfast, which is usually not standard in the Harz- nice room with terrace and bay window- If you expect wellness or an over-renovated guesthouse, you're in the wrong place, but you'll have to spend a lot more

A very old house, which is particularly reflected in the bathroom of the rooms. The operating couple is very Corona-focused. They walked around in their own house with masks on all day. I don't recommend the Sonnenhof. It's better to spend a little more and have a relaxing holiday in Braunlage.

I really liked it there. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, the room was clean. The location is perfect, right on the edge of the forest but not far from the town center. My dog was allowed to travel for free and was even able to go into the breakfast room. Great, I can really recommend this house to anyone who wants to explore the Harz on a small budget.

The accommodation has everything you need. The owners are super nice and sometimes make breakfast possible at 7am. Perfect view of the Wurmberg. Parking space is available. I'll be back.

Unfortunately, the rooms are very noisy, so you can hear the bathrooms and the squeaky floors of your roommates.There are 5 stars for service because dogs are allowed.A breakfast buffet is advertised, but you are given a selection list to tick. But I didn't get any fish/salmon this week.Great location, just a few steps to a large meadow. Great for dogs.The owners are always there and try to make everything possible.I was a little surprised to hear on the first morning that my room had just been "cleaned up". I didn't read anything about this in the guesthouse description, there is no service sign on the door or no safe for valuables.Price-performance is justified for the 7 days

Our room was disappointing, shabby and the carpet was just disgusting. The armchairs were worn out. 2 stars only for breakfast. Pictures were misleading.
