Very cozy and familiar, ideally located for excursions. Sufficient parking spaces available. The food is very tasty and plentiful. Even at night it is very quiet in the villa, you don't hear anything around. We felt very comfortable!

Terrible....friendly!!!! We have rarely been in such a friendly house! The staff here is fantastic, familiar, you feel really welcome from the first to the last minute. Thank you for that. We stayed at Villa Alice for five nights, with the sauna and whirlpool just perfect for us. You can choose the different room categories according to your own wishes. Since we were traveling a lot, we opted for the small room, which was completely sufficient. We were very pleased with the bathtub, it was very nice. The breakfast buffet is more than very good, a wonderful selection that we didn't expect. Fantastic for such a small house.Of course there are one or two cobwebs, but where are they not? With this price-performance ratio and these nice employees, you're happy to ignore it.We would recommend this hotel at any time 👍

We stayed in the villa for a few days as a couple and were thrilled by the romantic charm of the building. The employees were all very friendly, from the boss to the breakfast person and the head chef! Everyone was very welcoming and willing to have a chat. Any concerns were dealt with quickly and resolved in an absolutely uncomplicated manner. The breakfast left nothing to be desired and was extremely tasty. You could have an excellent dinner in the in-house restaurant and the value for money was absolutely right! Overall, we had a very familiar feeling and would definitely come back!

Villa Alice was actually our dream accommodation for a family holiday with our adult children, as we had already been here about 13 years ago. Unfortunately it didn't work out, so at least it was supposed to be dinner. ....and that was wonderful, delicious, rustic and sooo warm.We were able to spontaneously reserve a table for 6 people with a dog, received a rustic welcome and greeted our Skadi with a bowl of water, treats, cuddles and friendly words from “Helga”. She is obviously the soul of the house. The food was very good, very plentiful and was served in pans or casserole dishes. Everything tasted very good and we were very full. In between there were always friendly and cheerful questions and one or two chats. Unfortunately, Helga didn't give out the recipe for the tomato soup with gin and cream. So we have to come back 😉.Savory and sweet crepes are a house specialty. You have to try it. The house is definitely quaint, cozy and WORTH a trip. We hope we have better luck next time we try to book.Ahsoooo...the location is a wonderful starting point for a hike to the Hexentanzplatz.🧙🏻🕸️

Very friendly and helpful staff, made us feel very welcome. Went on a family holiday in Thale in July and were a bit lucky :) when we checked in we got a free upgrade from a double room to one of the available holiday apartments. The apartment was very spacious, well equipped and clean. The location of the hotel is nice, the food and breakfast were good. We had a great time, clear recommendation.

We visited the restaurant as part of our siblings meeting (5 brothers and sisters with partners) and had an absolutely fantastic meal in a cozy atmosphere. The steak fried on a cast iron pan was particularly brilliant. The waitress Helga was very attentive, funny and spoiled us

14 days of vacation are over. In the end we were guests at Villa Alice for dinner on 9 days. That alone actually says it all. But I would like to add something to my last review, which is attached below:The team is simply fantastic, whether it's the chefs or the service staff. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to assess the other employees in the house because we were not hotel guests, just guests in the restaurant. But I am sure that they too are doing their part to be able to be members of a team that is unusually good for today's times. Because it has to be unusually good, otherwise no one would be able to feel the harmony that every guest can experience here. The food – and I am very happy to confirm this – is prepared with love and good spices. In addition, it is always very plentiful and has an excellent taste. Unfortunately, I was only able to eat 8 different dishes from the extensive selection because I had to eat one twice, my taste buds and my greed obliged me to do so. But if a chef can create 8 great dishes, he can certainly do more, because no chef is ever alone on a shift.Love of animals is very important to the service staff. Our two dogs – like us – felt very comfortable in the villa. There was a good reason for that. Whether it was probably the oldest or the youngest member of the team, they all spoiled our beloved furry friends not only with numerous treats, but also with fresh water in an accompanying bowl. This clearly showed me how positive the villa staff are towards animals. But the nice women also revealed this to us in the nice and loving conversations that we had with them or they had with us.Our farewell to the great staff at Villa Alice was accordingly. Not only did it take place in stages, it was also very warm and in one case even a little tearful, which personally touched me very much. The fact that we were able to experience one of our most beautiful holidays in Thale and the Harz Mountains this year was due to the warmth of the people who live and work there. It was also due to the many people who were robbed of their identity by Müller because they had to give up their Harz cheese, which before 1989 not only smelled like it tasted, it was simply strong. Müller should destroy his tasteless Harzer himself. Unfortunately, it also affected the many small masters of making herbal liqueurs who made the Harz region so special. But that's just by the way, but I still wanted to get rid of it.In fact, the service staff at Villa Alice in particular, with their friendliness, their love of animals and their understanding of our dogs, played a large part in the success of one of our most beautiful holidays that we were able to experience in Thale. And that's not a compliment, it's the truth.Old review from a week ago:We have eaten at the Villa Alice hotel restaurant 5 times so far. Each time we chose a different dish. And every time the food was very tasty and plentiful. You have to take some time to eat because the dishes are only prepared after you order. But it's worth the wait. I have never eaten in a restaurant five times in a row that was as good and tasty as in this one. In addition, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Even when the restaurant is full and the nice women have a lot to do, they find a table for new guests, even if the guests bring two dogs with them like we did. It is worth visiting the hotel restaurant Villa Alice, we can recommend it with a clear conscience
