Very nice small family hotel. The restaurant offers typical German dishes, which are prepared and served with a lot of love. The beer garden is in the inner courtyard and is also beautifully decorated. A clear recommendation. I'll be back.

The service and location are very good. The food is not as good. The portions are very large. The schnitzel with chanterelles was disappointing. Both were very sweet and otherwise tasteless. Sorry about the effort.

My sister and I were guests at the Hotel zum Schloß from Friday to Sunday. The hotel is owner-managed, Mr. Mögenburg is tireless: open-minded, helpful and patient. There are very few rooms, they are very well equipped, everything is very clean, good mattresses. The breakfast was rich and lovingly presented, Mr. Mögenburg also offered us other breakfast ingredients (Prosecco, scrambled eggs...).The hotel is in an absolutely quiet location in a half-timbered house directly behind the castle/collegiate church, both at the back and at the front. The walk to the market took 9 minutes and we walked slowly, so the location was very quiet and still very close to the city center. There is a small courtyard where you can eat and where we enjoyed a nightcap in the evening, a large "banquet hall" for celebrations, and a cozy restaurant with an attractive menu. Mr. Mögenburg showed us parking spaces, both free and paid, and also carried our suitcases into the rooms and back downstairs when we left, as the last part of the stairs is quite steep.Overall, I can highly recommend the hotel and its owner.
