A great, family-run hotel.Our room was modern and adequately equipped. The bathroom has been modernized and has a large shower.I can only recommend the hotel's own restaurant!The dishes are lovingly prepared and taste very good.The hotel is located in the middle of the forest and is therefore very quiet.Anyone looking for peace and relaxation has come to the right place.We will come back.

It's striking that all of the bad and honest reviews suddenly disappeared.And there lies the core of all the problems in this hotel. There is a lack of fairness and honesty. The prices for guests are high, and the pocket money for the trainees is a mockery, despite a lot of overtime and the fact that they run the place almost alone. This is not a well run hotel.

We wanted to eat here yesterday... unfortunately the door was locked and there was a note saying it was closed due to illness.It looked very unkempt outside and the whole area looked pretty old.We have the feeling that it will remain closed for a very long time....

We are in the area almost every year and always stay at the Hotel Landgut Ochsenkopf. The food is impeccable. With plenty of choice and decent portions, you'll always be full. You can't say anything bad about the rooms either. Everything is clean and well maintained. If you need some peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Highly recommended :)

Once & never again. Hotel is getting very old. Reception is stacked with lots of papers/documents. It seemed very unclean and untidy. Also unfriendly gentleman at reception. There were countless flies at the breakfast buffet in the morning. Fly screens everywhere except, strangely enough, not where you eat.

Yesterday we and friends booked 3 rooms at the Hotel Landgut Ochsenkopf for a weekend trip.The day before my arrival I happened to look at the reviews on Google and I was really shocked to see what miserable reviews I could read there. And this concerned points that we had perceived as positive during previous visits. So I decided to pay close attention to these things during our visit and post an up-to-date review. Here she is:Condition and cleanliness of the rooms:My room looked recently renovated and the cleanliness was impeccable. There were no complaints about the furniture either and I slept excellently on the mattress.Restaurant and service:There is a large beer garden with parasols and retractable awnings. The large restaurant is beautifully decorated and the menu offers a good selection for every taste. The prices are not a special offer, but are completely reasonable for what is on offer. I had roast venison with Brussels sprouts and dumplings for €27.95. Delicious and the quantity was so large that I couldn't finish it.The young foreign service staff that the boss brought to Germany as part of a project had completed German language courses and proved to be friendly and competent.The boss is also extremely friendly and sometimes takes the time to have a longer conversation with her guests.Location:The house is in a fairly secluded location in the middle of nature. The silence is heavenly and apart from the chirping of birds and the occasional horse snorting, you hear almost nothing. If you enjoy nature, there are plenty of opportunities to let off steam. Whether it's hiking or cycling tours or simply enjoying nature.We will continue to visit this beautiful house.

Very nice hotel and a wonderful, quiet location in the middle of the Düben Heath. Friendly, competent team. We had coffee and cake in the beautiful courtyard. We can only recommend it.

There were 7 of us. The rooms were clean. Mine even had a renovated bathroom. The breakfast was OK for the price and tasty. I found the staff very friendly. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't available until 8 a.m. and no exception was made here. That was a shame for our triathletes because they had to start without breakfast. Price performance overall ok. We would come again...
