So first of all, the rooms are clean, but everything is getting old. A bit of GDR style. The rooms are not really dark. The staff is friendly.

Excellent connection. I came for work reasons and then fell ill. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Having a bowl of solyanka and some peppermint tea in your room will make you feel a little better :)The room itself was a bit dated. However, the rest of the hotel had its own historical charm which I hope will be preserved.

We were in the "Stadt Köthen" again last weekend. We have been coming to Köthen every year for 15 years. We have already noticed some changes over that time. But this "GDR charm" remains, yes, and the showers are sometimes a problem. Rooms and beds are fine. Unfortunately, we discovered that the menu had been canceled and our favorite dishes were no longer available. Another positive thing to mention is that there is a very large parking lot. A very special thank you goes to Ms. Jenna Gotsch, who opened the beer tap just for us for a nightcap. We were always satisfied with the staff

We stayed in this historic hotel for 2 nights. I felt like I was transported back to the old GDR, which can be interesting, but also disappointing. The room was ok, the beds were good, but the shower! The shower walls were broken and not clean, a shame! The breakfast can be improved. But the staff should be mentioned very positively - very friendly and helpful - very good!

The mattress was pretty sagging and I had a hollow place where I couldn't sleep well. After all: Sunday breakfast from 6 a.m. is also a good solution because the food needs to be cooled and is also kept refrigerated.

Hotel is getting old, very old-fashioned. Beds were tidy and comfortable, everything else wasn't particularly good. The shower is pretty full of germs.Staff gets 10 stars, super nice and courteous and helpfulBreakfast was good

The house is historic. But that's about all the positives. The furnishings of the "restaurant" are old-fashioned and, for me, more of a restaurant. There were old, faded artificial flowers on the table. The menu is very manageable, which doesn't mean a bad thing if that Quality is right Unfortunately that wasn't the case at all in my case. Unfortunately, what I would have liked to try (venison goulash) wasn't available that day. Fas Essen Steak our Fleur was unfortunately a total disappointment. The steak was tough and dry Peas were frozen goods and didn't see any butter but hollandaise sauce from the tetra pack. The food deserved zero stars. The location and this venerable old building would have earned 10 stars if someone knew how to appreciate it. My praise goes to the young one Open-minded and nice service. Although there is still room for improvement (boiled potatoes twice even though croquettes were ordered). I would like this criticism not to be viewed negatively but rather as an impetus to implement what is first on the menu.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms. I missed my connecting train 🚆. Because the 🚆 from Halle was late. The first train doesn't leave until 5:17 🕰, so I would have had to wait at the station for over 3 hours. I rang the hotel bell and the nice man let me in. I didn't want a room for 3 hours either. He offered me coffee ☕️, we had a nice chat. I was glad not to be in the cold.Thank you again 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I wouldn't come back despite the supposedly acceptable price-performance ratio - even though the single room including breakfast only costs €70.The main reason is the musty and deep fryer smell that permeates the entire hotel. In addition, the furnishings in the rooms are completely worn out and mold is collecting in the shower. What's particularly stupid for me is that there are no hairdryers in the rooms.The breakfast is rather poor (sweetened nectar instead of juice, etc.).The bright spot is the great, friendly and very hard-working staff.
