I'm so sorry for the staff, who were really friendly and accommodating. But unfortunately the hotel doesn't meet our expectations at all. The decor of the rooms really exudes early 90s charm, apart from the bathroom, which was okay, although you had to stand in your own water in the shower as it was difficult to drain. The pillows are a real disgrace, I would say cheap dumplings and the mattress was quite sagging. I didn't even want to take a photo of the room because it was really ugly. No Wi-Fi, so you can get around, but the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. The carpet was very stained and wasn't vacuumed at all. The whole hotel seemed totally run down, extremely dirty carpets everywhere in the house, broken wooden boards in front of the house as a ramp for wheelchair users, who then probably leave them in the hallway and have to be carried to the room, and completely dirty garden furniture in front of the house. The fact that in 2024 a house will be completely unsuitable for any physical impairment is actually absurd. 50 per night per person is not justified in my opinion. Despite the really nice staff, we won't stay here again.

The hotel is located in an idyllic location on a hill in or next to the forest outside of the city. A bus stop is a few 100m away. But it's no use as the last bus from the city leaves around 7 p.m. It is rather unsuitable for older people or people with walking difficulties and, above all, it is not suitable for disabled people. Our rooms were in the beautifully developed attic. Rather unfavorable for my father, who is over 80 years old.It is a nice location for younger people, families and hikers, as you can start hiking straight away, for example to the castle or zoo.The toilet flushing and the light in the bathroom were suboptimal and there was a lack of storage space, for example for the toiletry bag. I also found the light in the room uncomfortably cold. Otherwise, the rooms were equipped with a television, clock radio and hairdryer. Personally, I also found the interior design very appealing. My mattress was too soft for me and seemed to sag a bit.The staff was friendly and accommodating.

A hotel with a personal touch, in a quiet location. Great for city dwellers (Augsburg) to relax. Very, very friendly, courteous staff. The breakfast was sufficient and varied, I thought it was great that it was always topped up so that even the last guest had everything fresh. A childhood dream was the pot of lard and the pickled eggs, SUPI. The room was okay, the bathroom was newly renovated and clean, we felt very comfortable. Would happily recommend it to down-to-earth guests. Thanks to Kurzurlaub.de, you found this hotel for us.

Very happy to come back, the staff was great, the location is not too far away from the city on foot but you should be fit or take a taxi straight away. The room with bathroom was also very comfortable. Price performance top

A quiet place and a great starting point for exploring the surrounding area.The hotel is lovingly run, the staff are very friendly and always make sure you feel comfortable. The atmosphere is not the newest, but it is clean and cozy.The breakfast buffet offers something for every taste, although a little variety wouldn't be bad either.The small sauna area was also nice and the solarium was a welcome opportunity to relax.The self-service drinks service is a good idea and an asset for a bed and breakfast hotel.Parking right in front of the door and the castle and old town are easily accessible on foot.I have already recommended the hotel to others......

Quietly located, right next to the forest. It's about a 30-minute walk to the city center. Cozy rooms. Parking right in front of the door. Nice service. We will come back.

I can basically only agree with the negative reviews.Overall we were disappointed with the room because it wasn't nice. Okay for sleeping, but not for staying in there for a long time.There was no WiFi in the room, even though it was advertised. When we asked, we were told that this wasn't available in the room because it wasn't technically possible.The service was nice so far.The location is okay.Overall, we wouldn't go here again and can't recommend it.

A very nice hotel. It is decentralized. Far away from all the hustle and bustle in the city of Wernigerode. The street to the hotel is lighted and has plenty of parking spaces.We were received very friendly and everything important was explained. Wishes were implemented promptly.There was also a small kitchen for the guests in the hotel.You could drink coffee, mineral water, beer, etc. There was a consumption card where you could enter everything.This was charged on the day of departure.

Not recommended at all. The rooms were dirty, the mattresses were worn out and yellowed, so that it even showed through the covers. Extremely many spiders in the room and in the bathroom, which weren't exactly small. The toilet was also dirty and there was no WiFi even though every room was supposed to have WiFi. Unfortunately, there was no service available at the time because the reception was only open for 3 hours in the evening.When I brought all of this up, some arguments were listed and no one even apologized for it. All this for almost €60 for a single room.I am very disappointed.The only thing that was okay was the location.

We were in Wernigerode for 2 nights and stayed at this hotel.We received a friendly welcome at reception and were able to take care of everything so that we could start our holiday straight away.The room and the guest room were friendly and cleanly furnished. You can see the age of the house and certainly has some potential for renovation here and there, especially in the hallways, but you can see that they are sticking with it to gradually bring it up to date.The breakfast was tasty and sufficient. Something for everyone.From the hotel you can easily walk to the castle and also to the beautiful old town/center.There are also hiking trails all around.We were very satisfied from start to finish and will definitely come back again.

At first glance the hotel is not like the pictures. The interior is also not contemporary. Nevertheless, it has great charm for those who take a closer look. It is quietly located on the edge of the forest below the Wernigeroder Srchloss. The outdoor area offers a playground even for children.The interior is clean and matches the building.We were able to use the sauna for ourselves.The staff was always friendly and did everything to make us feel comfortable. A big compliment and thank you for that.
