Unique ambience in a beautiful environment directly on the Bode and the European Cycle Route 1.The bathroom in the Antonius Suite is as big as some single rooms, and the suite itself is so beautiful that you almost lose interest in exploring the beautiful surroundings.Absolutely recommended for people who are looking for peace and quiet and appreciate something special

Hohenerxleben is a small cozy town. There is a large castle park down to the Bode river 😊 | We slept well in this small castle - the breakfast is quite standard - it was delicious that the bread was freshly baked | …

There were 6 of us who registered for lunch in the “Guten Stube” and were greeted very friendly and shown to the carefully set table.Selected and ordered various menus. Everything came to the table at the same time. Deliciously cooked, beautifully presented.

The castle is somehow a hidden spot and absolutely amazing. It has not been reconstructed to the very last detail, but this is the source of its lovely character! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Especially in today's day and age, it can't be taken for granted and therefore it has to be mentioned!Update August 2024The place is still charming, but unfortunately, the price level has been increased, and the portions you get have become smaller. The breakfast is not as good as it was a year ago, and the choice is limited as well.

Unfortunately very disappointing... the four of us went on a nice bike ride and we all wanted to take a break and have something cool to drink. We sat for some time, several employees walked past us and looked directly at us & no one even said hello to us... that was more than outrageous in our opinion. Everything was relatively empty and no one came... after we waited for a while we left without being served... it's a real shame.

We ate ice cream in the restaurant there and were very disappointed. The ice cream is probably homemade there, but it wasn't that intoxicating. Any ice cream from the discount store tastes better. The portions are relatively small compared to the Italian restaurant around the corner, but the prices are large compared to the portions.I had ice cream with hot raspberries and cream. Well, the cream was forgotten, it was 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream with the raspberries. It was the smallest ice cream with hot raspberries I've ever eaten, but it cost like an Italian restaurant, €7.50, just too expensive for such a small portion. By the way, the mocha ice cream was very watery. So you definitely can't recommend the ice cream there. In addition, unfortunately the ice cream was not served to the 5 of us at the same time, we received it very differently, so that the first person to eat ice cream was already finished and 3 people hadn't gotten their ice cream yet.Otherwise, the prices for food and drinks are hefty, sometimes significantly more expensive than in holiday areas on the Baltic Sea directly by the sea.In any case, the restaurant is not recommended.

I was traveling by bike, the atmosphere was great, beautifully located, pure nature, beautiful old castle, of course with a few old brands, creaky floorboards, etc. Didn't bother me, recommended
