I give it two and a half stars only for hygienic reasons. It was a quiet and friendly place, with a kitchen and a decent breakfast, very good location. The thing that really ruined the experience was how dirty the toilets were when the staff was not there. I saw them cleaning during their shift but after 11 am -when there's no staff at the hostel until the next morning- the guests were responsible for the hygiene. I've noticed that guests did not leave the restroom in a position that could be used after them. One night I took cleaning products and cleaned the toilet seat so I could use it, because it was left in a really disgusting state. *Edited* The problem was that the hostel was left unattended after 11 am. No staff around to maintain a reasonable hygiene (nothing extreme).

As for me : this is a very good self check in backpacker!Cozy and quiet, but you can get great conversations during the free continental breakfast.Beds are okay, clean (bit old bedsheets though) clean and tidy place.Good for money.Supermarket nearby.River and historic center within 20 mins.In comparison to other places in EU this is among the good one.Absolutely recommended in Düsseldorf und Germany.

Lockers are very large and specious.Breakfast is good. The staff opened windows and doors and there was a bit cold during breakfast.Leaving baggage after check in is very valuable.TV in common area did not work or I was not able to use it.One of two sinks in 2 floor clogged and I had to go downstairs.Two story bed is with bad geometry. There is very small space (65 cm) for 1st story person. I am 1,85m tall and it was a bit hard to sit and climb in and out. Maybe it is for kids or very small people.The lamp by the bed was making noise and it was hearable in night.I did not receive an email in day of arrival. Probably that was not fault of hostel, because in my booking.com acount there was a message, but I was not the only one with this problem. There was an older gentelmen who was very stressed about situation and could not find information in his account. He tried calling and sending messages but with no success. I let him in my 8 person room where were 2 free beds available. Otherwise he would be sitting in common area all night because hostel staff was not answering. While everything works fine, self check in is good, but when you have problems, then there should be someone who can help. That was not provided in this property.Someone drank my jougurt which was in fridge.Thanks owner for answering to some of issues.1.You are right. There were only 6 beds. My mistake.2.Maybe gentelmen had information on spam folder. I did not check his whole phone. Thing is he did not get assistance when he was strugling to access that information. There could be situation that someones phone broke down or something and there should be assistance from staff if there would be this kind of problem.3.Bed length and width were standart. Non standart was distance from my matress to 2nd floor bed. That was small space.4.None of food was labeled with name. I don't think that it would change anything.5.I wrote that there was a bit cold during breakfest. I doubt that I deserve to be compared to someone with aspergers symptom for my statement.

It is more better than most hostel, it has a nice kitchen and large sitting area, it is clean well located for me, if you are a solo traveler you can chose this place, they have also free small breakfast and coffee in the morning it is very nice.

Well priced and clean backpacker hostel. While small the basic amenities are available for you to cook by yourself and a basic breakfast is included. Easy walking distance to old town. Would recommend.

Avoid if you care about your sleep. We got a private room thinking we could get some quiet, but the room is right at street level with huge windows, so you get people smoking and drinking and being loud at 3AM just a few meters from your bed. There is a sign that asks to be quiet, but of course nobody follows it and with the reception being open from 8.00 to 12.00 only, there is no staff whatsoever to enforce the rules. Cleaners come in in the morning without knocking even if you're not in a dorm, and the only time we saw anyone of the staff was when they entered in our room to ask us to pay because the charge online didn't go through. The breakfast was very scarce, but at least it is included for free with every stay.

What shocked me was the lack of any staff on site when we checked in at 2 PM. Self check in fine, but noone to reach out to in case of some unplanned situation. A person who didn't have code to come inside just followrd someone else and was in the lobby. Room was good. Kitchen was also ok. Price was reasonable but cutting cost by not employing an onsite staff is probably not good.

A hostel in the city of Dusseldorf, located about twenty minutes' walk from the city's main train station, not far from the commercial center and the riverside promenade, nice and kind staff who help with what is needed, the room is relatively spacious with a locker for each, the toilet and shower are outside the room, in addition there is a shared kitchen on site

Was here in January. Good hostel for a good price for only €98 for 2 nights. I just found it annoying that, as a smoker, I always had to go to the entrance to the house late in the evening because the owner or someone else from the staff locked the door to the courtyard at that time.

A nice hostel. I stayed in a room with 3 bunk beds. The doors are opened with the password sent to you. There are closets inside that can accommodate a medium-sized suitcase. You have to take the padlock yourself. Of course, it depends a little on the people staying, but I saw different people throughout my stay and they were respectful. The breakfast was not bad, there was toast with a toaster, coffee, milk, oats for breakfast, spreadable butter, cheese, eggs, jam types, fruit etc. So it satisfies. The rooms and toilet bathroom were clean, obviously they are cleaned several times a day. The location is very central, there is a bus line in front and a metro nearby. You can go anywhere easily. As far as I can see, owner Patrick is someone who works for customer satisfaction. In summary, especially if you are a single person or a group of 2 or 3 friends and are looking for an economical, clean and reliable hostel in the center, you can easily choose it.

The overnight stay was really good, even if it was only one night.I received the codes to get in early on the first day by email early in the morning with a detailed description of how to use the locks.The bed was quite good and the self check-in went smoothly without any problems. The bed linen and towel were also very clean and good.I thought the reference to the night's rest was very good, as many hostels don't have this.The staff is very friendly and responded quickly to my request and fulfilled it.All in all, for the price, I would definitely recommend the hostel to anyone who needs somewhere to sleep in Düsseldorf for a night or longer. 👍

Just the thing for a few days in Düsseldorf, ideal location for the train station and old town. About the house itself, clean, nice staff and for the price even with breakfast, completely sufficient.
