Booking via the website went well. Received a clear navigation video before departure. Upon arrival, once again the friendliness itself. The reserved spot was fine. Almost at the Roer. Location super beautiful surroundings. Too bad that the train whistles past at 5:15 in the morning. Otherwise 5 stars.

Idyllically located campsite with a great view of the castle. The terrace parking spaces are super large and easy to get to. Toilet and shower always clean and well maintained. You can buy small things in the small kiosk, where you can also get fresh bread rolls in the morning. Super nice, committed operators who are permanently on site or available. At this point, thank you again for forwarding the keys.We would be happy to come back if we get the chance.

A lot of self-promotion. Gastronomy works like that.

CAUTION! Avoid the campsite at all costs. Owner charges stay fees arbitrarily in the booking system. Supposedly it is meant to benefit everyone. Of course, it only benefits the owner. We won't do something like that. We are the customers! We look for fair campsites.

On the map it looks bigger than it actually is - the Hetzingen campsite turns out to be a small, fine pearl in the Voreifel. Everything is clean and tidy (washhouses, dishwashing areas, washing machines and dryers (organized via app), chemical toilet disposal), the orientation to the parking space and the maneuvering of the caravan is carried out under the friendly supervision of the boss. Bread service is possible in the self-service shop, the self-service shop with a fairly small selection, but with a very flexible breakfast menu, is in very friendly hands. There is a restaurant on site, although we didn't use it, but the menu is very ok for a campsite. We are on a comfortable pitch with our own water supply and wastewater disposal (my favorite). Showers work with either 1€ (8 min) or shower coin (5 min), but here the rule is: first take off your clothes, then hop over to the coin machine and insert it - time is running :)The Rur flows beautifully and tranquilly directly past several parking spaces. Now in autumn, the surrounding forests look incredibly beautiful and you can hike from the square up to Nideggen Castle - but be careful: this tour is not really suitable for small children and people with disabilities, at the latest on the descent the small, stony paths become more of a torment . On our to do are the Schmidt wildlife park, the Kakus caves and a Rursee boat trip - there are many nature-related activities in the area, guided tours on foot or by MTB are also offered (and on the tours of a cooperation partner (unfortunately not during the autumn holidays) the place even covers the costs, more details on the homepage). And here too: No, I don't get anything for this review, I'm just writing my personal opinion!

The staff is consistently extremely friendly and helpful. The sanitary buildings were very clean. We had a place on the Rur that was very nice. Water and electricity on site. Very dog friendly. Nice options for walking the dog. Industrial dishwasher for €1. Shower: 5 minutes €0.80 and 8 minutes €1. Many long-term campers, as well as day guests, are also warmly welcomed. Good and cheap restaurant on the square. You have to get used to the train, but it actually doesn't bother you at all. Small shop with bread service. We spent a thoroughly enjoyable weekend there and will definitely come back again.
