B&B HOTEL Bochum-City

Well where should I start...So it started out modestly when we checked in on a Thursday lunchtime. It was a collective booking that was made on my friend and the booking and invoice were made to me. And that's why we weren't found at first. Which isn't a problem.When I wanted to go back to the hotel Friday night into Saturday morning, I couldn't get a parking space that costs €10 per day despite having a reservation. So I was angry and when I wanted to go to my room at 2 a.m. I thought they were kidding me. Despite the do not disturb sign, the cleaner was there and brought me towels, all well and good but the person left the lights on everywhere and opened my curtains and now something happens where I freaked out, my window was tilted and my room is really cooled down. But what was WORST was that the window wasn't closed properly so it wasn't latched so it was opened from the outside. My room was at the main entrance. D.H. You could have so easily gotten into my room and stolen it, I don't think that's possible and it's a disgrace.The nice gentleman at the reception can't do anything about it, so I was friendly and nice. He promised me that he would clarify this and that I should get in touch again on Saturday. On the Saturday when I wanted to have breakfast it wasn't possible because it was so full and fully booked that the whole room was literally bursting.I then spoke to a young lady and she only reimbursed me for breakfast twice for this mishap that was in my room, i.e. I got 25 crushed ones back. I'm glad that none of my valuables got lost because unfortunately there is NO LOCKER in the room!!Let's come to the room:The next thing I got was a room that was intended for wheelchair users. Which isn't so bad, but because of that I couldn't move the TV on the wall and so it wasn't possible to watch TV in bed.Well, my room was already damaged in some corners, the shower curtain was yellow and moldy. The left curtain couldn't be pulled properly, meaning light came in. Speaking of light, the room was very dark, you could have had another lamp in the room. I still had a sticky footprint on the floor in the bathroom that couldn't be wiped away.There was also a huge white stain on one of the curtains.There is very good and fast WiFi here and you have SKY TV, which didn't work for me.The room is right on a main street where car posers are rattling every few minutes. So sleep is unfortunately irrelevant here, because it was also very loud in the hallway because my room was 5 m away from the reception.Well otherwise on the whole it was okay. Employees were all nice and polite.Breakfast was completely sufficient and very tasty.The hotel is very central and only 400 m from the town hall, which was very good for the reason I was in Bochum.

Room and breakfast are OK for the price. Staff friendly but disagreed about the information regarding the rooms. It's a shame that it's all so complicated.

Good new hotel, in the middle of Bochum.Large parking lot behind the house.Nice room size, large bathroom.The train station behind the house is apparently closed, so it was great to sleep with the window open.Air conditioning can be controlled in the room.Breakfast buffet is sufficient.In the evening you can buy a bottle of beer or wine and drink it in the comfortable seating in the lobby.Good hotel for short and business trips.

Hotel, very good, clean, which I think corresponds to a classic B&B. It is good internally, being up to date unlike some B&B hotels that I have been to. It is close to the tram and bus so it is a plus for getting around. However, if you don't use the hotel's parking lot, parking can be quite complicated in the surrounding area. Breakfast is OK but for me French, the presence of pastries would have been a plus. Finally, we had a pizza 🍕 margherita which was delicious and worthy of a pizzeria even though it only cost us 6€50; I was pleasantly surprised because I was expecting frozen food and nothing more.

Ideal for a few nights. Central and clean. You can book breakfast as well. Nice personel. You can eat pizza and drink there until late in the evening.
