Nice vibe, nice decor, welcome drink. Room was warm upon arrival and not completely clean. No water in the room. There is a rain shower, but if the shower head is full of limescale, this does not work. Pay-as-you-go breakfast is a nice idea, but it entails long waiting times and when you take breakfast included, you have a maximum number of coffees.

The free rooms here are cleaned from 6 a.m. Then you can no longer think about sleeping. The doors are slammed, metal trash cans are emptied, the whole program. Why not do this at a different time if you can't check in until 3 p.m. anyway? Why do you bother your guests like that? That's exactly what hotels are all about: sleeping

Hotel is a 2 min walk from the subway station (poststraße), about 7 min walk to REWE store and a kebab place. You can take a metro 14, 16, or 18 and ride 3 stops to get to the center/Catherdral. Neumarkt (shopping street) is just 1 stop away, or a 10 min walk from the hotel.Digital check-in was effortless provided you read the emails they send you before your arrival. Rooms can be accessed both via a smartphone and a key card. I assume older people, or people who're not tech savvy, might have some issues with the check-in process.During our stay several people had trouble entering the hotel. I don't know if that was their fault, or it was something wrong with the keypad/phone. If other guests weren't there to open the door from the inside, I don't know how they would enter the hotel as there is no staff/reception.Additionally, employees are in the hotel only at the morning, up until maybe 2-3 PM. If you're arriving at the hotel at a later time or at night, your only option is the phone support from the customer service agent. Some rooms face a noisy street where police/ambulace frequently pass by so keep that in mind if you're a light sleeper. There are rooms which face the inner courtyard so they should be quieter.Staffless hotel sounds nice in theory until you need something. You're told to go to the storage room at the 3rd floor but it's empty and it's been empty for the entire duration of our almost a week stay. For all inquiries and question, you're instructed to call the phone number. Phone number is +49 (Germany) so be careful if you're coming from abroad as your carrier may charge extra for calls. They don't have WhatsApp option.Rooms are cleaned every other day, I didn't mind that but I know some people like their room to be cleaned daily. There is no fridge or hot water kettle in the room. There is a coffee machine tho. AC was working fine for us, or you can fully open the window.Sound insulation should definitely be improved, you can hear people walking in the room above you and you can hear the noise coming from the hallway in your floor. Sometimes you can even hear the water/people showering.Bathroom had A LOT of limescale spots, especially since it's black. I don't blame the cleaners for that, it was a mistake from the hotel to get black shower head, faucet, etc. Some staff members (in person and over the phone) could be a bit more polite and friendly.Overall I'd rate this hotel 3.5/5 - above average, but for the price you're paying I'd expect a fridge in the room or perhaps a complementary bottle of water.

The entry code was not recognized, so we were lucky that guests left the hotel. The elevator was broken, but you got a few free drinks.Unfortunately there is no table in the room. Otherwise everything is okay for the price

It seems that early check-in is difficult because there is no staff present. If you do not check in time, you cannot enter the building itself. Check-in may be difficult because it is done by machine, but it may also be convenient. Room condition is excellent! I wanted to eat breakfast, but I couldn't meet the staff so I couldn't ask if breakfast was available. The toilet and bathroom walls are transparent, but can be made opaque with a button. It was fun.

The rooms had adequate space, we went without suitcases. There is a lot of dust and during the stay they did not clean it, I have a dust allergy and it was very noticeable. They change the towels every 2 days but not the sheets during the 6 days we stayed. The carpets are dirty and so are the reception sofas. There is never anyone there if you have to ask any questions or concerns. Check in and check out online.

Very nice hotel with a great price-performance ratio. The hotel is located three minutes from a subway station, and the old town can also be reached on foot in 15 minutes. The self-check-in and breakfast concept in the morning convinced me.
