Good hotel, clean rooms and the food was good.Dutch speaking reception. It might be nice if the hotel lobby were more separated from the reception. This is an ideal hotel for motorcyclists, because of the beautiful surroundings for riding a motorcycle.

Great hotel as far as we are concerned. Breakfast and dinner buffet were good and the room was to our liking. You can also take a nice walking or cycling tour directly from the hotel. We also made a nice trip to Trier (about 50 km drive) and to the beautiful Open Air Museum Kommern (about 40 km drive). So you definitely won't be bored!

Reasonable hotel. We were welcomed, well welcome... by an unsympathetic, German-rattling receptionist. Other staff very friendly. Our spacious room overlooked a ruin that must once have been the swimming pool. …

Either shortly before closing, or they want to renovate?Service below all dignity and the rooms are large, but completely shabby and not very clean - towels are old and the room door can only be closed with force. The breakfast is miserable and instant eggs, not well fried, limp bacon and warmed up rolls. Not recommended. And rats in the backyard, there's a lot of garbage.

Luckily we were only there for one night, unfortunately our actual guesthouse canceled and this accommodation was the only one nearby that wasn't fully booked...Let's first look at the positive:- The staff on site is very friendly, speaks German, English and Dutch.- There is free coffee and other hot drinks in the lobby.- There are enough free parking spaces available.- the bed and the back wall of it seemed to be quite new.Now the negative:- the entire carpet in the room was full of stains.- Hair on the floor in the bathroom, the fittings or the surface of the sink full of dried stains, pets like silverfish, glasses for brushing your teeth that you could wipe off the dirt on and a toilet seat that you have to be afraid of breaking off because it's so loose is.- Furniture from the 70s that had its best days behind it-The balcony was dirty and had indoor furniture that looked slightly torn.- View of a former wellness oasis that appears to have been closed for several years and where the plaster is crumbling from the wall.- Streaks on the mirrors.- no hygiene pads under the bed sheet, which should actually be standard in every German hotel. We didn't book breakfast anyway because we were eating out with friends nearby...Conclusion: The staff is really friendly, BUT!!! Next time I'd rather drive another hour to Koblenz or Trier before I enter this hotel again... Unfortunately, not such a nice stay.

Maintenance! Only suitable for insensitive people.I've stayed in a lot of hotels and guesthouses, but rarely if ever in such a bad hotel.I can't understand any of the recent good reviews about this hotel. How can a person condone such a poor state of affairs? I very, very rarely write bad reviews, but unfortunately this hotel is completely run down. It really looks quite attractive from the outside, but inside there is a completely unkempt and unrenovated style of the 90s or even older.Positive:- Large superior room on the 4th floor- The room was quite clean- the bed was quite large and its quality didn't match the rest of the interior- There is plenty of free parking available- The staff is very friendly- Coffee, cappuccino, tea and cocoa free for 24 hours- the location is quietNegative:- the hotel is in a catastrophic state of maintenance- the artificial leather benches in the breakfast room looked like bulky waste because they were completely worn out, so much so that the fabric underneath could be seen over a large area. See also photo.- In the breakfast room you can see bare plaster in the base area because something has chipped off.- In the hallway on the 4th floor, the wallpaper in the window area had been torn off and was hanging loose (photo) and not just since yesterday. This was evident from the very strong mold growth on the windows there, especially in the lower area. Plants had already formed in the insulating glass window (photo). I've never seen it like that before. Really disgusting.- The ancient carpet throughout the hotel was riddled with stains. (photos)- There was apparently water damage somewhere else in the hallway on the 4th floor some time ago, which was only repaired in a makeshift manner (photo).- The furniture in the "superior" double room felt and was somewhat exaggeratedly from the post-war period. The sofa bed, which could have belonged to my great-grandmother, was completely worn out and looked completely disgusting. Animal breeding probably takes place there. ;)- There were indoor chairs on our balcony, an ancient poster chair that had to withstand the rain. That's what he looked like too. Plus another completely inappropriate room chair. Since we slept high up, we could see that every balcony had seating like this (photo) - unbelievable!- In the breakfast room the emergency exit was simply blocked with a table and chairs (photo). The professional association or fire department should keep an eye on this.- Most of the breakfast was probably bought at a discount store. There were sticky baked rolls. It wasn't worth the 15 euros.- In the breakfast room the tables were sometimes disorganized because no one was interested or the staff was overwhelmed.- The used and abandoned tables were not cleared away during our hour-long breakfast.Yes, the hotel is cheap some days, but it is not inexpensive. We definitely paid too much for this poor quality. It was enough for us for one night because my son and I are not sensitive and the bed and bathroom were at least OK, apart from a few silverfish. But we won't be coming back until the hotel has been extensively renovated. Since we weren't asked at reception if we liked it, we didn't answer anything. It wasn't necessary to complain on site because the errors were too varied and at least we had a good place to sleep. It is only suitable for those who are insensitive to hygiene.Apparently investors only have cash in mind here or the hotel is about to be demolished or closed. Everything is cobbled together in a makeshift manner. There is no other way I can explain the numerous flaws and inadequacies. It's a shame about the friendly staff, who are certainly not to blame for any of this. If no money is invested in renovation or renovation, it is not a personnel problem.I can only warn against every booking!
