A country inn is a country inn... and that's a good thing.Anyone looking for wellness and luxury here has booked the wrong hotel.But if you are looking for a family-run, child-friendly and quiet hotel in the middle of nature with clean rooms with a balcony and comfortable beds, this is the right place for you :-)The eloquent boss always has an ear for a friendly conversation and the breakfast is delicious and sufficient. The rooms are a bit old, yes, but it's a hotel... just for staying overnight.

Nice, quiet hotel with the charm of the 70s, but that's not meant negatively in any way. Good price/performance ratio. We were completely satisfied. Food and drink all recommended.

Unfortunately it stopped in the 70s. But we were there as a motorcycle group. It was more than sufficient. We would come again. Price performance was good.

Not the newest anymore, but everything clean and comfortable. However, the location is very remote, but that didn't bother us.We also had a very tasty and good meal there and it was very inexpensive!

This year we held our scooter meeting again at Haus Kanne. We were there for 4 days and it was great. Great service, good food at fair prices (TOP mason plates), individual wishes were immediately fulfilled.For us the perfect rustic location for our moped meeting. The charm of the 80s doesn't bother you, everything is clean. Breakfast even better this year (thanks for the scrambled eggs).Very nice senior and junior boss..We'll be back! Location is very quiet in the forest near Bad Driburg.

A nice small and quaint hotel ☺️Service top, helpful and always with a quick saying on the tongue 😃Exactly my taste, room clean and tidy.Food great, especially great value for money.There were around 33 people there and it worked great 👍👍I'd love to be there again next year for the scooter meeting.Many thanks to the team ☺️

Complaint management and customer service are foreign words here!!!Nice location, nice pool... The really good rating of this guesthouse is a mystery to me...2 days of nice weather and the use of the terrace was not possible because on Sundays (!) and Mondays all day long we worked in the garden, directly on "my" terrace. I was offered the room with the words: "This is our quietest room." After the sandpit etc. were set up 3m away from the terrace, this was discussed. The landlady's statement: "This is my property, I can do whatever I want until 10 p.m.!" She repeated this 3 times so that there were no misunderstandings for the paying customer. The question whether one could get a quieter room was answered in the negative. No room service (new towels etc.) and no coffee for breakfast. After 3 days, vacation was canceled early, but of course it is expected that the entire amount for the whole week will be paid! A lawyer was hired...

Very nicely located with a view of the countryside. Deer graze behind the house.The inventory is a bit old-fashioned and quite old, but everything is clean.Very good breakfast.The owners are nice and accommodating.

Family run hotel. Very warm, you feel comfortable there. Ideal, for example, as a starting point for hikes or for group meetings. Unfortunately, the house is already getting old, which is clearly visible in the furniture, for example.

The hotel is very remote. Therefore very quiet. Cell phone reception is very poor, but there is open WiFi. Rooms are getting old and need an update. Staff very friendly and attuned to the guests.

Okay for the price, there is a backlog of modernization and a bit of operational blindness, e.g. There are boxes lying around, friendliness and a certain 80s charm make up for short stays. Room for improvement, lots of potential.

Everything you need to know has already been described here. But I don't understand where the still quite high rating comes from. In any case, “outdated” is a friendly way of saying “completely run down”. Nothing has happened here for at least forty years. You can see and smell it. To still charge 94 EUR per room is simply audacious.
