My husband and I stayed at the hotel by the lake over the weekend.The welcome was very slow.The hotel was locked, the door was then opened for us at the push of a button. The gentleman at the reception just said: "Hello, name? Have you been there before?"We answered this, then he just said: "Room is around the corner, parking costs €3 a day, breakfast is available from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Oh yes and the key on the room key also fits in the front door, If lost, €250 will be charged."It wasn't mentioned that the kitchen is closed on Fridays (we found a very good kitchen opposite in the extra sheet).We could see all of this from the dozens of signs at the reception. Everything was written on it, but I would have liked more hospitality, that people would talk to us, show us the room, etc.After we found the room, the shock came: everything is actually as old as in the pictures. An ancient telephone, the toilet has limescale, the shower smelled (I was glad we showered in the thermal baths), everything.But it was relatively clean, I would like to mention that! Maybe I'm too picky, I work in the catering industry and am very critical (or so my husband always says).There was a folder in the room with more information about the hotel, the prohibitions, the rules and the kitchen times.It smelled very old, I wanted to ventilate, but the window only worked when tilted.Enough deodorant and perfume helped.There was a hole in the bed linen, which was also present on top.There were also 2 tufts of fluff (approx. 0.5cm) on the sheet.The mattresses were very worn out and the bed creaked.The view was really beautiful!We were able to come to terms with it. Retro is modern again. But there is a lack of comfort in every corner.On the first morning we went to breakfast, the room was one floor down. We arrived, we were greeted and asked what we would like to drink. We had to look for our table.The breakfast was set up as a buffet. There is nothing missing. It was more than enough and the selection was very good.When I tapped the juice, black particles came out. I think it's coming from the tap. They crumble over time.The lady wasn't there that often to order something or the like, some guests got up and called for her to get another coffee or tea.But the view of the lake at breakfast was wonderful, especially in the bright sunshine.We then spent the whole day in the old town, the thermal baths, at the wellness center, eating and drinking, etc. and didn't get to the hotel until late.On the second morning we went to breakfast, our table was occupied and only individually set. The lady was very nice and prepared a table for us.We have always seen staff differently. On 3 days 3 or 4 different people at the reception, housekeepers and then different people in the breakfast room. So there is no real contact person who is there for the guests.The departure was short and “painless”. All we had to do was pay the “parking fees” (€6 for 1 full and 2 half days) and then say “bye”.Conclusion: If you're not looking for luxury, this is the right place because, I'll write again: it was clean.Many people probably stay overnight here because it is close to the spa clinic so that they can visit their partner if necessary.Otherwise, please at least some new paint and decoration. That would be enough, because after the whole “Corona” period it’s not easy to renovate something. Upgrading would be enough.All the best for the future!

Small, cute hotel on a small lake. For the price you shouldn't expect the high class. I think it's cute.

Pretty location right on the lake

Lovely old classic style hotel with a fantastic location, nice room, good service, inclusive breakfast, very reasonable price , will come again.

Beautiful house in a quiet, idyllic location, right on the lake, very close to the spa park and the city.Staff very friendly and helpful, food in the restaurant was very good, nice beer garden.Breakfast with a good selection, nothing is missing.Room spacious and clean.

I stayed in a single room, a tiny, cozy room with a mini bathroom. Clean, warm, nice. Problem with parking because the hotel does not have its own parking. The only solution is to leave the car in a paid parking zone on the street for €1 per hour, but the hours from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. are free. From the hotel, go down to the promenade around the spa lake/pond, in the afternoon, entry to the park with graduation towers is free.
