The hotel is very popular. Since I am an enthusiastic wellness visitor, I unfortunately have to say that the sauna area has some defects and deficits. Among other things, there is no free drinking water, which is essential when going to the sauna. The changing rooms are also getting old. Doors are warped and can no longer be closed. Other amenities found in other houses are also missing. The employees are very nice and helpful.The hotel is overall very nice.

Very very friendly staff. Hotel has a great location above the city and as a starting point for hikes. Overall it's a bit "out of date". Rich breakfast and evening buffet. Unfortunately, the warm dishes in the evening, especially the vegetables, were sometimes a bit overcooked.

All in all it was a great stay at the hotel. Nice rooms, a nice swimming area, great breakfast and an evening buffet that is worth seeing. The service was very attentive and friendly everywhere. The stay was crowned with a great full body massage.

Four star hotel, but no room safe, just a bathtub. A shower is absolutely necessary for less mobile guests. At least it should be clear when booking that there is only oneThere is a bathtub. Food, breakfast and half board were very good and varied. Staff very friendly and customer oriented.

Very tidy, comprehensive breakfast with many choices. Getting there is a bit difficult (partly due to construction work) and through winding streets. Room with shower, TV, tablet, coffee maker, etc.

Room was clean, holey and stained curtains. The mold stains in the bathroom were unpleasant, and the shower also needed to be repaired. There was information in the elevator that there were still appointments available for massages. When we asked at the reception we were told that there was no staff. The sign was still not removed. The service staff was very friendly.

No air conditioning in the room. There are ventilation systems in front of the room that hum all evening. And the “buffet with a large selection” is also quite a joke – for vegans there is at most a bit of fruit and dry oatmeal. The staff at the reception also seems to have lost their zest for life. Apart from a younger lady with shorter hair who is actually very friendly.Considering the cost of around 130 EUR for one night and the points listed above: Not recommended.The only positive aspect: the charming Hausmannsturm is right next door. So does the upper church.

Great location, wonderful parks, wonderful view, nice room (no room safe), room and bathroom clean but for one of 2 nights in July 2024 (the 2nd/separate booking was unfortunately necessary but fortunately in another room without a serious defect in the bathroom ) the shower clearly hadn't been thoroughly cleaned inside for a long time. There was black mold in various places, among other things. also on the shower door handle, joints, shower hose, etc. see photos. There was no apology or accommodation for what I consider to be a significant inconvenience. Only upon explicit request was there a minimal price reduction. The staff is friendly but not really interested in the guest. The building is beautiful as is the dining room. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet is carelessly prepared. We had been meaning to come here for a long time, but unfortunately we were bitterly disappointed. The spa town of Bad Frankenhausen is definitely worth a trip!
