We didn't spend the night at Wunnerswat, but we had breakfast several times. There is a wonderful atmosphere and the service is very attentive. Our only criticism is that the selection of “toppings” could be a little larger. So far this mainly consists of sausage and cheese. Perhaps here, for example, Herbal cream cheese or other spread variations and creams as well as salmon are a useful addition.Otherwise there is little to complain about. The rolls seem to be freshly baked, and there are also fresh mini croissants and pancakes, a rich cereal and yoghurt/fruit buffet as well as juices and hot drinks as desired. We will be happy to come back!

The WunnersWat was an absolute highlight this year! We were in the area for a wedding and couldn't have found a better hotel.Check-in was uncomplicated and very friendly. When we asked, we were able to get a card for the free charging station for our electric car, which was really great and saved us having to look for a charging station the next day.The rooms are modern and very nicely decorated. Well-functioning air conditioning was great, we had had problems with that in other hotels. Comfortable beds on top of that - what more could you want. The spa area is also absolutely impressive: there are several saunas, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, a steam bath and a station with healing water - we spent lovely hours here. The breakfast in the morning was very rich and tasty - even if it was a bit crowded on one of the days. If you wish, you can even get different types of freshly made breakfast eggs.I would definitely like to highlight the always helpful staff: When we came back to the hotel from our job late in the evening, the hotel parking lot was already full - we had expected that. My wife then asked at reception where we could park, whereupon the gentleman at reception came out and looked for a parking space with us - top service! We would like to come again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We celebrated my mother's 75th birthday in the restaurant of the Hotel WunnersWat and were completely thrilled! The service was absolutely first class - attentive, friendly and always there when we needed anything. The food was simply outstanding! Every dish was a culinary highlight and the quality of the food was exceptional.Finding something comparable in the area is almost impossible. This restaurant is definitely a must for anyone who values outstanding food and first-class service. Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable evening!

The hotel doesn't look bad: modern rooms, sauna, restaurant. But unfortunately the "good" things end here. Arrived in the room (mid-November, zero degrees outside) booked weeks before, the heating didn't work and the room was FREEZING. A room costing over €200/night with the heating off?🙄 I set it to 22°, as they told me to do, hoping the temperature would rise during the night, but instead it didn't turn on. Nobody came to check and only the next morning did I discover that the hot water valves had actually been closed. In the bed only a single duvet (in the double bed). In the morning I woke up with a fever and cough, shaking (diagnosed with bronchitis upon returning home). On the desk a practically useless tablet (it is only used to browse the service catalogue). Furthermore, always turned on and with the camera pointed towards the bed (?!) Let's hope we don't end up on the internet... The next day I wanted to try the sauna, but it was messy, I gave up. The bar was expensive and the restaurant decidedly poorly managed; cloying pasta and fish, probably frozen, under layers of very salty sauces, perhaps to mask the lack of freshness. Dishes paired poorly (salmon seasoned with fatty sauces, ravioli with dried up filling and flavorless sauce, perhaps freeze-dried), inedible! Perhaps the pumpkin cream soup is saved (leave the rest alone). Wine with metal caps, slightly "acidic", paid over 20 euros. A real nightmare, I couldn't wait to leave. Leaving I had the icing on the cake: I had to take a box of paper tissues from the bathroom due to a cold and... they charged me for it...? 🙄🙄 Experience truly bordering on indecency, also considering the cost of the room. Absolutely avoid!!-added after response (over 10 months after review)Dear WunnersWat Team, thank you for your response and for taking my feedback into consideration. However, I would like to clarify one point regarding the "fabric fee". During my stay, the box was not "leather" at all, as you indicated, but a simple plastic box worth less than 1 euro, similar to the one I found on an e-commerce site (which I attach) . This detail left me rather perplexed.I appreciate your commitment to improving the services offered, but I invite you to carefully check the details before charging unjustified costs to your guests. I hope that this experience can serve as an inspiration for you to further improve the quality of your customer service.Best regards,Antonello

A gem of a hotel that served a dinner menu today for its 5th anniversary. We were able to sit outside, which was of course fantastic given the weather. We had a very nice welcome from the hotel manager, who later recommended good wines to go with our meal. It was only my third time there and every time you get the feeling that you are greeted and served like a regular guest and good acquaintance. The chef Arturo is also an old acquaintance of the restaurateur from Verl who likes to mingle with the guests.
