I visited this hotel for a few days at the beginning of October and can describe my experience as follows:I had booked a single room, which was very small and cramped - according to the plan 8m² plus hallway and bathroom. It was difficult to fit a chair between the bed and the desk. Here and there the wallpaper was peeling off the wall, but no wonder if you simply stick textured wallpaper over woodchip wallpaper... the WiFi in the room was very unstable.But at least it was clean and was cleaned regularly, although the towels were sometimes changed even though you didn't want them to.The breakfast is very rich and fulfills almost every wish.One evening we wanted to visit the bar, but it was no longer open around 9 p.m., even though we had been promised it beforehand. It was only thanks to the very friendly efforts of a member of staff that we were able to have a few more drinks. A very special thank you to this colleague!The lady at reception was somehow present everywhere... probably has a 15 hour day😉The location of the hotel is quite good, you can quickly get to the old town and also to the train station in about 10 minutes

One of the worst hotels I have ever booked. Rooms are just fine. Everything has stopped a bit in the last few years. Breakfast costs extra. No problem at all, but then you should actually be able to expect breakfast. This breakfast is not worth the money. All in all we can't recommend this hotel.

Our room was clean and the hotel staff was very polite. Above all, the young gentleman at the reception made our stay as comfortable as possible. The mattresses are great and allow for a restful sleep. The breakfast is completely okay for the size of the hotel, but the selection is not particularly large. However, individual wishes were fulfilled quickly and friendly in the kitchen. Lunch was very tasty. In short: Not a luxury hotel with modern furnishings, but clean and recommended!

On the day of arrival around 11 a.m. we were informed by the hotel that the hotel was overbooked and that they would have to book us into a hotel much further out. When asked, it was described that guests wanted to extend the stay and were simply given the room that we had booked. Poorly organized store and not very customer-oriented staff, definitely not a recommendation for me.

The hotel is located within walking distance of the center and easily accessible by car. With public transport everything takes a little longer in this region. The furnishings look a bit dated and this is also reflected in some traces of wear and tear. The room was furnished a long time ago with fairly old designs. The bathroom could use a makeover. The bed is okay if you bring your own pillow, otherwise it will be a struggle to make something out of it. The room door still has the good old key and no card system, so it is up to you whether you want to turn on the light or not. The breakfast is okay if you don't expect a large choice. The boiled egg and scrambled eggs/bacon are usually cold and can run out even if you get there early and it seems like it's gone. It is clean there. There are even two EV charging points available. But for four stars you would expect something different altogether.Nice anecdote that happened to us with one of the waiting staff, we were sitting on the terrace in front of the hotel and they indicated at 7:45 PM that the kitchen was closed (normally at 8:30 PM) we could order something to drink . When ordering coffee, they came back with the message that the coffee maker had started a 2-hour cleaning process, so "Leader kein Kaffee" .. ten minutes later another employee says that there is coffee available, and we see the previous employee going home at the end of the working day :).Don't expect too much for the price you pay.

We wanted to make a reservation for Friday at 6 p.m., which wasn't possible.Since we were traveling with small children, the time window wasn't too big. When we arrived at 6-3 p.m., the restaurant was completely empty except for one table. Friendly and caring service, but unfortunately the summary of the food is not good.The chicken was missing from the salad with chicken and was delivered later.When it came to zander with seasonal vegetables, there were tasteless frozen vegetables and unfortunately the zander fillet wasn't good either. The children's fries were tasty, at least something.

I never expected that there would be such bad hotels in Germany. We were a group of 12 people from Belgium and we didn't get the rooms we booked at all. At the breakfast buffet there wasn't even 1 roll per person. After a complaint, it was promised that there would be enough rolls the next morning, but again only 10 rolls for 12 people. However, we were the only guests in the hotel (April 22). I have never witnessed anything like this! Afterwards, I filed a complaint with Expedia, but the response I received was that the hotel claimed it had compensated us with free welcome drinks, but that was a big lie and wouldn't have been enough for us anyway. Incomprehensible and extremely annoying...

First of all, I'm not a guest who needs or prefers fine dining, on the contrary, I'm more than satisfied with solid home cooking, but it wasn't even that. Unfortunately, the service didn't make any effort to give us a nice evening, that was Already at the reception there was none. There was also no drinks menu so we were allowed to guess what was on offer. The menu was more than manageable. I would say that dishes of this kind are no longer offered at every motorway service station; it was very reminiscent of the 80s and the craftsmanship was not really good. In the wedding soup there were exactly two spoons of filler and the rest was broth. None of the dishes were convincing in terms of taste. The service wasn't present, the glasses were always empty, you literally had to beg, so you didn't generate any sales. In order not to spoil the evening for our host, who wanted to spend his birthday there with us, we put up with it. Sorry, I can't recommend the restaurant!
