Great hotel with spacious rooms and good bed. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Dinner buffet was good, different theme every day. It's nice that there is a small wellness area. One star less because of the noise of the room. Had a lot of trouble with a continuously crying baby in the next room. The walls are very thin.

The hotel is wonderfully located in nature. Surrounded by beautiful hiking trails through forests. All service employees are very attentive and strive to meet all needs. The employee structure is dominated by trainees. There doesn't seem to be a problem with young talent, at least here. The sauna area is very small and not big enough when the bed capacity is used. The associated “swimming pool” is more of a paddling pool. Swimming is not possible here. There is direct access via a footbridge to Lake Diemelsee.Our room was clean, but the interior was a little old. This can also be seen on the carpet. The TV in the room is a new device, but is not connected to the house network. When asked, it was not possible to answer why this function is not used despite its existence.The breakfast buffet is very tasty and balanced. Likewise dinner. People who prefer a vegetarian diet will also find what they are looking for here. If you want to explore the nature of the Sauerland, this is the right place for you. Those who want to do wellness should choose another hotel.

Very friendly staff, no matter where in the house.Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired....Buffet dinnerAn amazing salad buffet, everything fresh.Theme evening, starters, soups, main course, fish, meat, vegan...Dessert buffet and ice cream as well as a large fruit cornerAnyone who goes to bed hungry here can't be helped...2 meal times 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.mIn the afternoon you can also get cakes and small dishes (to be paid extra)Compliments to the kitchen crew.Children's games house and pirate ship in front of it...Sauna:A little smaller but ok.The new panoramic sauna is greatOverlooking the lake...We only found it by chance and, like other guests, there was no sign of the saunaIn the open air area there is a door on the left!!!!We didn't use the swimming poolThere isn't really a quiet area, only 6 loungers, but quiet is not possible due to the other guests walking aroundWe rested in the room...Massage area well done, recommended...Room:We had a room on the 1st floor on the land side, a gallery room.Unfortunately, the room has a carpet that is quite outdated, but the bathroom has been newly renovated...The bed can be reached via stairs.. great view of the stars..Pretty noisy.Deducted 2 stars because of the carpet and the lack of hearingWe find it remarkable that there is a lot of staff there and you can tell that the restaurant staff, for example, have gastronomic training...Great keep it up...Be sure to take the circular hiking trail H6 around Lake Diemelsee, 12.6 km, about 4 hours...All in all, a great short vacation that makes you want to visit more hotels in the Göbels group
