After 2 nights here, the good points first.Location: great! In the middle of the city, you can easily reach everything on foot, by bike or by public transport. Locals galore.The room: The house has been renovated and equipped with great attention to detail and high-quality materials, the bed is excellent.We had the room under the attic - not suitable for someone with limited mobility as there is a narrow staircase leading up from the elevator and there are platforms in the room.Now the main sticking point: the hotel and restaurant in the building do not belong together. The restaurant has a covered courtyard, which provides sound in the rooms until 2 at night.This situation is extremely unfavorable because the restaurant doesn't really care about the hotel guests.After we were finally able to (partially) open the windows at 2 (the super bright courtyard lights are on all night and the blackouts are pleated shutters on the windows), the cleaning crew arrives at 7 a.m. and the restaurant is prepared for breakfast.That's really a pity!A good suggestion - add another glass ceiling over the ground floor (natural ventilation is further provided at the back of the courtyard) - that would reduce some of the noise for hotel guests.We booked here a month ago when everything was still fresh and the first reviews were full of praise. The question arises quite openly as to whether the reviewers have ever spent the night here…With a drop in rating from 4.6 to 2.4, such a hotel can hardly survive and is not worthy of being an offshoot of the best hotel in the city.Oh, and the reception is never staffed and cannot be reached by telephone in the morning.

Very nice building. However room was hot, no AC, no ventilator available. Window, facing an arcade, could only be opened completely, not tilted. Room could be entered through the window from the arcade. …

Noisy, very noisy.The rooms are in a recently renovated building but on the ground floor there is a wine bar and a pub/drinks bar that is transformed into a restaurant -Ostería- in the interior patio. If you are lucky enough to have the rooms that face said patio, you can hear “only” the noises from the restaurant and said bar, which has deafening music until 12:00 at night or 1:00 a.m. if it is a weekend; If you have rooms facing the street it is even worse, because you hear those noises and those from the bars in front (PICNIC). As the noise of the music is transmitted through the building, you cannot fall asleep even with earplugs, and you must wait for the Osteria to close. In any case, the area is noisy and although the bars close they have to clear tables and chairs and the noise ends up lasting quite a while; In the morning the opposite happens, they have to be assembled again and the noise starts early, so the margin to rest is not very great.On the other hand, they don't clean the rooms either, so you find them the same as you left them in the morning - bed messy and unmade - despite the fact that we hung the typical little sign on the doorknob asking them to clean the room.Also, when we were staying there, the fire alarm went off at 2:20 in the morning. After twenty minutes the owner/manager showed up because I suppose the police would notify him - the phone number on the website was called but the answering machine went off. When the firefighters arrived - which also took a while - they entered the building with him. After more than 20 minutes on the street we were allowed to return to the rooms but the owner/manager let it slip that someone had manipulated or touched one of the alarms in the rooms, as if we were bored and dedicated ourselves to those things at those late hours. the night. We were so angry that we went up to the room but some clients were arguing with him on the street; I hope that in the end he asked for forgiveness, because with us he did not have that detail, not even in a message that he could have written the next day.I hope that conditions improve for future clients and that the establishment is lucky, but we will not return.

We booked via the platform.Upon arrival, no one was on site or approachable; We were also unable to reach anyone at the telephone number provided within 12 hours (!) to answer any questions.We had specifically booked quiet accommodation. When we arrived there was a town festival and no one had informed us about the massive disruption. We couldn't find the supposedly available parking spaces and unfortunately couldn't clarify them either.The rooms open onto a courtyard with an Italian restaurant; Backing of chairs and maximum volume until around 2 a.m. despite closed windows = brutal heat).We booked another hotel at our expense after the first night and left early.Despite numerous attempts, we had not reached anyone up to this point and ultimately only communicated in writing via the booking platform.We are disappointed.Absolutely clear - like never again. It's a shame, Augsburg is really beautiful.PS one more addendum: the major booking platform sees this as completely normal. We bore the costs.The accommodation has not contacted us to date….We learned a lot.
