That was really great! We were guests with a really large group, which was certainly extremely tiring in the crazy heat. The innkeepers were totally confident and super friendly, the service was 100% attentive - you rarely find THAT anymore. The house may be a bit old, but everything was clean. Free parking space directly at the house. Outdoor pool right next door, free for guests. We had booked half board with 40 people. The food was delivered tip top, very tasty and you can see that genius controls the chaos! Family-run hotel, 5 stars from us - we'll be back next year!

Extremely nice innkeepers who really make the guest feel welcome. Good location for hikers (Westweg Ostvariant and Schluchtensteig), very clean and quiet rooms, very tasty food, dog-friendly. We would come back at any time.

Beautiful hotel located directly on the Schluchten Steig. We were warmly welcomed and the breakfast was also very good. We had a nice, large room with a balcony. The portholes were really an eye-catcher, something special 👍

Very attentive and courteous staff. The food was classic and very good. Friendly corner with a family atmosphere. There is no review of the rooms as we were accommodated elsewhere. Authentic owner.

Great hotel and restaurant right at the entrance to the Wehratal. The Wehrer swimming pool is right next to the hotel. Hotel restaurant appears to be of a high standard. There is something for every guest. The service is unique and everything seems very familiar. Great hotel and restaurant. Definitely highly recommended.

A week's stay in this hotel and you can't say anything bad about it! Family run with very attentive and friendly staff. Added to this is the great cuisine and the rich breakfast. The rooms and the hotel are clean and well maintained. We always have an open ear for concerns.The hotel is in a rural location, which is why it is very quiet - there are many shopping opportunities in town.Absolutely clear recommendation!

Good organization of the reservation for my hiking group in advance.Hotel that has come into disrepair and is in need of renovation.There is a smell of mold in the stairwell.The rooms are functional, the bathroom is fairly new.The dinner we ordered was miserable, moldy bread and tomato soup from a bag.Ready-made sauce a la Maggifix, but very friendly service, who turned up the heat even when there were complaints.Simple breakfast with dried cucumber slices.But our drink requests were fulfilled very friendly.We won't be coming here again.

Despite the usual high prices on the Schluchtensteig, I found the price-performance ratio here to be really bad. The single room was basically okay, but a bit old and definitely not worth €70. To be honest, I found the breakfast for an additional €15 almost cheeky. The food was definitely not fresh (the fruit salad was moldy!) and the selection was modest. Only the lady who took over the check-in in her boss's absence was very helpful, even though the overall coordination seemed a bit chaotic.

You can only get peace and quiet here with good earplugs, I hear my roommate snoring every evening as if he were lying next to me, (soundproof would be an understatement). Hygiene doesn't seem to be very important here either, the toilet wasn't cleaned very invitingly when I arrived and everywhere Black long and short hair can be found in the room and bathroom (including in the bed). The floor was dusty and didn't even seem vacuumed. The smell in the room was extremely musty, after days of airing it still smelled unpleasant. You can stay here for one night if it's on the way, but otherwise it's not a place to take a vacation, relax or rest. The breakfast is spartan with little choice, not even water or scrambled eggs, let alone a milk alternative, definitely not for vegetarians or people who want to eat more consciously. Ps (the hair on the edge of the shower is not mine..)

It was an impressive stay. We got married in Reinach Castle and received an overnight stay in the Klosterhof with breakfast and a 3-course meal as a wedding gift. That alone is worth full marks and is anything but self-evident.My husband was on cloud nine within a very short time and I had tears of joy in my eyes. The staff was so personable, competent and happy to help. It was such a great atmosphere!!!The food was phenomenal and the ambience made us relax in 24 hours in a way that we sometimes can't manage in a week's vacation.A big compliment to the whole team!The hotel has sophisticated technical equipment.The breakfast is also particularly good and there is definitely plenty for everyone!We'll definitely be back!

What can I say...unfortunately I only see rip-offs here. Well, they are the only ones on the Schluchtensteig and they pay dearly for it. On the last evening of our Schluchtensteig hike, I was really looking forward to a sparkling wine or Aperol Spritz and a nice dinner, but unfortunately when I looked at the menu, I completely messed it up. They wanted 9.40 for the spritz 🫨 Unfortunately, that's it Cyclist is not much cheaper and costs 5.00 euros. The property is approximately 1 km from the city.A week on the trail, staying in great hotels with good cuisine and then at the end cheese spaetzle soaked in cream and a few leaves of salad for almost 26 euros... What a shame, the whole magic of arriving was gone.😪Rooms are a bit retro but ok.Because the gorge was closed, we would like to do the 6th stage again, but we certainly won't stay here again.
