So I don't know if this hotel deserves the name. When you think of the name, you imagine something other than a residential building that was somehow nailed together to form a hostel.You have to arrange an arrival time, but the reception is not staffed. Instead, you have to call and are then told the code for the key box and where the room is.When you arrive in the room you notice that the single room is in the attic and is incredibly small. The TV is tiny, but sufficient, the programs are virtually non-existent because all good HD channels (Pro7, RTL, Sat1, etc.) are blocked. Only the channels that are always free to receive (ARD, ZDF, ZDF INFO etc...) can be viewed here.The towels were clean and so was the bed, except for a fleeing moth when I lifted the blanket. But that can happen sometimes.The bathroom is underground, more of a wet room and it takes a while to figure out how the light turns on. In the end I didn't want to use the shower.Otherwise it made a very run-down impression and for me it wasn't actually worth more than €30-35 a night. It's ok for transit, but not recommended for longer stays.

At the reception you will be greeted by a pleasant, smiling administrator. The room has everything you need: wardrobe, bedside table, table, chair, TV, fan. There are two towels and a glass. The light in the toilet turns on behind the mirror in the bathroom. The bed is clean, the mattress is comfortable, but if the person is tall, it may be a little uncomfortable. Everything is clean and comfortable, but the room is not big. There is parking. Excellent WiFi. Since you have to climb steps to get to the rooms and there is no ramp, this place is not suitable for disabled people.I liked everything very much, I recommend the hotel.

Extremely rude on the phone when I wanted to reserve a room. Demands full payment in advance with a deposit for a 3-week stay and wants to know where we work. Because we have a bar, we are not "good" guests for the landlord. I've never heard of a room and deposit paid in advance where the innkeeper calls me a "bad" guest because we only have a bar to earn our money from.And charged €10 more than the price published on the internet. When I pointed this out to him, he said I couldn't read.Sorry who is the service provider here????

50€ per night??..15€ would be appropriate.!!!Dingy...Rooms poorly renovated.The two of us were there and checked out again after about 30 minutes.The owner doesn't want to pay the money back. He points out on Booking that they pay it...Booking itself points to the Schweitzer Hof...in my opinion the Pakistani or Indian owner wants to keep the €300...Absolutely not recommended to book there !!!

We only spent one night here while in transit. Yes, the hotel is very simple and doesn't have a lot of problems, but for the location so close to Switzerland and this price it is unbeatable! In addition, you can park for free and, if necessary, arrive at later times than check-in. We will definitely come back!

Someone was kindly there for a moment to let us in. Schweizer Hof doesn't sound quite right. The house is somewhat weathered and the lawn is unkempt. You sleep at night. If the price were lower, a lot of things could be overlooked.

I was in this hotel on business and I can't understand these bad reviews at all. It was clean and tidy. Well, it's a little cramped, but no matter whether you're on vacation or for work, you're only in the hotel to sleep anyway. I found the bed comfortable so I was able to sleep well. The only thing I have to criticize is the short check-in times, which I would consider doing differently, but otherwise it's a good hotel.

The worst accommodation I have ever experienced.It was clean, but sometimes there were no towels, sometimes there was no toilet paper...wifi didn't work, the bed was uncomfortable, etc.

I was greeted by a very kind and hospitable girl, I think her name is Ena, maybe I'm wrong... She explained to me what the measures are due to Covid 19 and led me to a room that is really, really average, and not cheap at all. It was important to me that it was clean... I guess they keep those rooms for us, from the Balkans.

I stayed in the hotel for one night as part of my Rhine cycle tour. Cheap accommodation. Simple, clean rooms.Breakfast for 5 euros at the bakery nearby.

The rooms are clean, generally cleaning is done daily by the hosts. The internet is pretty bad but that's pretty common in Germany. The hosts are ok. The small note is for the size and quality of the bathrooms, more precisely they are closed only by a plastic fan door and they do not have ventilation so that in the double rooms this is a problem if someone suffers from stomach problems 😉. The price is 40/night, a bit high but nothing excessive, although I have met much better conditions at slightly lower prices but in villages with a few houses. Overall it's ok. And be careful with the phone, the signal is quite weak and most of the time you will be on the Sunrise Switzerland network, roaming will kill you depending on the network you are on.
