Based on the reviews here, I feared a lot of things and didn't have much of a choice left. But I didn't think it was that bad. Price-performance was completely appropriate.85 euros for a single room is fine.Room was well equipped and clean. The person at reception was super nice.I can recommend it!

I can't rate the inside of the hotel because I wasn't able to check in. According to the various booking sites you can check in until 9pm but the reception is only open until 8pm. I only found out because I called and wanted to let you know when I would arrive. I told Check24 that I wouldn't check in until around 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., why does that work when you can't get there that easily? The lady wanted the ID number, okay I'll send it, but apparently that wasn't enough, she hadn't left a key for us. Me and my girlfriend were standing on the street in Cologne on Saturday night... a lady who was almost out of the house told us that from 8 p.m. onwards no one will be sitting at the reception anymore. At the kiosk next door, the employee tried to help us, a very friendly woman, she then told us that this happens very often, you are not the first. We were lucky that another lady from another hotel waited for us for an extra 30 minutes. We explained our case to her and she also said that wasn't okay.

I've actually stayed in a lot of hotels but this one deserves the term Kaschemme. The entrance, reception and hallway/staircase have remained visually from the 70s. The room was apparently recently renovated. New furniture was probably also donated. But the “craftsman” apparently only does this as a hobby. Everything is extremely small (not suitable for people over 190cm), even the television doesn't exceed 19". Unfortunately not recommended...

Customer orientation is not very important here, we were unable to move into the room we had booked because check-in is only possible until 8 p.m. We were delayed due to traffic jams, which we also informed the hotel about. We didn't meet anyone on site. When we tried to find a solution over the phone, the employees were very unfriendly, not solution-oriented and had zero flexibility. We then had to quickly look for an alternative hotel at night and pay for the Hotel Ariana despite not using it.To date, our follow-up emails and phone calls have not been responded to and have simply been ignored. There is no contact person available to find an accommodating solution. We cannot recommend the hotel in any way and will definitely not book here again. It's a shame that there are still hotels today with such poor customer orientation. Our bad review, which was given on the booking portal itself and only reflects the facts, was removed at the insistence of the hotel.

Not very friendly and dilapidated technologyWe rented 2 rooms for one night. Because of the European Championships, the prices were high. Despite informing the reception there was no TV channel at all in one room. In the other room there was no WiFi and only 2 TV channels. The cleanliness of the room facing the street could very much be improved. The lady at the reception was snippy and not very approachable. We noted the high price and the associated expectations. “We don’t know what price you book for.”That may be true, but then I listen to the guest all the more carefully. For that much money we expected much more.Reluctantly again.

If you need a place to sleep, shower and put your stuff. It's perfect. You get keys and can come and go. No problem. Close to line 9.

We had a busy travel schedule and I overlooked that there was a 20:00 check-in limit. When I arrived at the hotel late (21:30), the door was closed. None of the phone numbers on the door were answered. …

A very friendly, attentive and helpful receptionist, but the correspondence with the hotel didn't work, I wrote a few emails to the hotel and didn't get a response. Clean room, extremely small bathroom. No breakfast is offered here, you have to look around if you want breakfast. Parking spaces are also not available, the opposite of what you can see on Booking.com. There is also no elevator, if you are unlucky (like me) you have to go to the 3rd floor (note: old building, so practically 6 floors!). The reception is only staffed in the afternoon until 8 p.m. at the latest. In summary: the hotel is more of a guesthouse
