We really enjoyed our vacation with the Bitschnau family. The apartment was very spacious, tidy, clean and well equipped. We were thrilled by the large selection of toys and equipment inside in the play cellar and outside in the “farm’s own playground”. The children will have stories to tell for a long time about their new impressions from the cowshed while milking and feeding the calves, chickens and sheep. The “bread roll service” offered allows you to start the day relaxed. We are completely satisfied and would be happy to recommend the farm.

We were at the Bitschnau holiday farm for the fifth time and it was once again a wonderful holiday. This year we had the Waldblick apartment, which was super clean and well furnished. Everything you need is there. The large kitchen-living room was perfect for the children to play, even when other children were guests. However, the children loved being outside where there was always something to discover. When there were no children to play in the yard, they ran around in the playground or played with the numerous rides. In addition, the host family always made time for the children and you could ride in the tractor or help with the daily work on the farm. It's just an active farm with everything that goes with it. The saying “If the children have fun, the parents also have a relaxing holiday” comes true here. The bread roll service provided fresh rolls and eggs as well as milk from the farm every morning. With a piece of cheese from the nearby dairies, you have a super tasty breakfast every day. The surrounding area is also ideal for families. You can quickly reach the mountains or the lakes in the area (Waldsee, Alpsee or Lake Constance). The prices for the attractions are also family-friendly, and the Waldsee outdoor pool is even free. Ultimately it was another great vacation with wonderful experiences and absolutely great hosts. Thanks for that!!!

Very clean and well-equipped rooms, which are quite quiet but still close to Lindenberg. However, due to the location, a car is recommended. The family is also very friendly :)

This year we were at the Bitschnau holiday farm for the 10th time in a row and we have never been disappointed there. And so I can only give full marks in the rating. As always, we received a warm welcome and look forward to being able to vacation on an active farm every year. Our daughter always felt very comfortable there (she is now 15 years old). If she wanted, she could actively help. Unfortunately, we have also experienced families in the past who did not want their children to be allowed to ride on the tractor or help in the cowshed, for example. Our daughter learned to drive a riding lawnmower a few years ago. The family's son, Johannes, taught her this (by the way, he is 8 months younger than our daughter ;)Unfortunately, we have often noticed how some children treat the toys offered, which are available in sufficient quantities on the farm. Some parents said nothing about it. Some of the “guest children” also didn’t know the word “clean up.” We often cleaned up, even though our daughter is now out of that age.In the past, if we noticed that something was broken/defective, we would let the family know or repair it ourselves. If a bed mattress is too soft or hard, we have also helped you solve the problem.Since the farm is an active farm, you have to expect that the tractors will run until late in the evening, for example when harvesting hay. Which never bothered us personally. On nice evenings you just sat outside and watched the hustle and bustle. And the Bitschnau family always found time for a chat even during the harvest season. We also always found the chapel very nice, as the bell rings at 7 a.m. sharp (at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. too ;). At the beginning of our vacation we woke up briefly in the morning, rolled over in bed and were happy. that we could still sleep. This year the television in our holiday apartment broke. Ms. Bitschnau took care of it immediately and after less than 24 hours we had a new television hanging in the holiday apartment.Because the family home was getting a new coat of paint this year, there was already scaffolding on the house when we arrived. The painting work went very quietly, so we didn't feel disturbed. Fortunately, since it wasn't a construction site where something heavy could have fallen on our heads, we didn't need to wear a helmet in the yard ;)By the way, on Google Maps you can see that a road (St2383) leads through the small town of Ratzenberg, which connects the towns of Lindenberg and Mellatz. We also saw this before our first visit and we have to say it doesn't bother us!We enjoy holidaying with the Bitschnau family, there is a lot to experience in the area and we have always received a warm welcome.CONCLUSION: If you want peace and quiet, you shouldn't vacation on an active farm and look for other accommodation. There are usually no mooing cows, no ringing of cowbells, bleating sheep, cackling chickens, a crowing rooster, bleating goats, the ringing of the bells of a small chapel, cats, rabbits, little car traffic, no bobby car races for children and adults also large and usually not so nice and warm hosts. We stayed at the Bitschnau holiday farm for almost 3 1/2 weeks and felt really comfortable there (even though there are no pigs there;)!For August 13th We wish you, dear Bitschnau family, a wonderful and great chapel festival. Maybe in two years we'll finally be there ;).Keep it up and don't get discouraged. You are really great and warm people!Best regardsMia, Dennis and Steffi from Herten
