Ten of us stayed at the Allgäu Residenz for the weekend with half board. Price/performance was right and we really liked it.The hotel is in a very quiet location with beautiful scenery. The 2 maisonette rooms and the double room were nice and bright, clean and large. In the bathroom you can store all the utensils in the bathroom cabinet or in the large drawer under the sink.We didn't use the spa area. The pool area looked new.The staff was friendly and helpful. If something ran out at breakfast or at the salad bar, it took a while until it was refilled. (The chef was new and still had to find his way around.) But on vacation you have time and are relaxed. Otherwise the food was very good and everyone enjoyed it.

It was a very nice stay. The room was nicely decorated. The swimming pool and the spa area were very nice and we used them often. The breakfast in the cozy restaurant was very extensive and delicious. The breakfast and dinner times were also good 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. (breakfast and 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. dinner). We booked half board and were able to choose from a daily "half board menu" of three different main courses (1 x meat, 1 x fish, 1 x vegetarian). This always included a starter and dessert. Everything we tried tasted delicious and was freshly prepared. The staff was very friendly and very open to small comments, which can certainly occur in a large house - which is open a good year after renovation. The stay is highly recommended. We will come back.

We stayed at the Allgäu Residenz with our two dogs and it was really wonderful. The location is ideal for people who like hiking - there are hiking trails right outside the door and also a few minutes away by car. We thought that was great! The accommodation itself is very nice, clean and pleasantly furnished. We had a room with a view of the greenery. The staff is very friendly and helpful, also with ideas for hiking and stopping off.The breakfast is definitely worth it because there is a large selection. For dinner we usually go to Wiggensbach, just under 10 minutes by car, but on the last evening we also ate at the residence and it was also delicious. The spa area is very new and modern, we really liked it. The pictures on the homepage correspond to reality and we were simply satisfied with everything.Behind the accommodation there is a pony farm that also offers day programs for children, so that parents can do activities even without kids.We are super relaxed and can highly recommend this accommodation for couples, dog owners and families.

The hotel is very nicely located. Ideal for excursions nearby or directly from the hotel. You will receive a very friendly welcome here and the staff will also be very accommodating. The spa area is clean and nice. The rooms are clean and cozy. The restaurant is very cozy. The breakfast is very generous and the quality of the food (half board) was very good. It's worth a visit and we will come back. We stayed in this cozy house for 3 days with our dog.

The reception was friendly, the staff helpful. We stayed in this hotel for three nights and had a junior suite number 305 in the so-called KavallerieHouse booked. The suite consisted of a living room with a small kitchenette. A bedroom with a double bed and a tiny little bedroom with a single bed. There is also a bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a separate toilet. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, 2 ceramic plates and a kettle as well as a hodgepodge of dishes and glasses. The cleanliness here leaves a lot to be desired. The furniture makes a high-quality impression. However, when you entered the junior suite, you immediately noticed a very musty smell. Even long and generous ventilation didn't help to get rid of this smell. He remained with us. Unfortunately, the proximity to a horse stable means there are a lot of flies, mosquitoes and spiders. However, the windows lack insect protection. There is also no safe, no larger mirror, except in the bathroom and no air conditioning and only 4 plastic hangers in the closet, and there is no elevator (the property is a listed building). The door to the junior suite could only be closed, not locked. Our reported defects were noted, nothing more. There are sometimes long paths to the sauna, the swimming pool, many steps, edges and stairs. The hotel is unsuitable for people with walking difficulties, wheelchair users, etc. The spa area with 2 saunas, steam room and whirlpool (which is very loud) is nice, but far too small for the amount of people who wanted to use it. We only had breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was OK. But small containers of condensed milk, butter and margarine in mini packets don't exactly represent sustainability, nor do small mini bottles of shower gel in the bathroom. The location of the property is very quiet. Anyone who hikes is in good hands here. Cycling is more difficult. Otherwise you are far away from everything here. The WiFi was good. The cell phone network for our cell phone didn't work here. Since the property is very old, it has been renovated and repaired again and again. Unfortunately, some things are not very professional. Our suite had underfloor heating. Since it was quite cold on the days we were here, it heated up very strongly. But unfortunately there was no way to regulate the heating in the suite unless you opened the windows. We would not book this hotel again based on our experiences.

Very solid hotel. We had nothing to complain about. There weren't too many opportunities to go for a walk from the hotel, but it wasn't impossible either. The food was great, both breakfast and dinner. I would recommend half board as there is nothing within walking distance. The room (maisonette) was very nice and the staff were all very nice. The wellness area has everything you need. In terms of furnishings, it could be made a little more comfortable and pleasant. My dog also felt very comfortable. There is a small horse farm behind the hotel. You can also go horse riding here :)

The name “Allgäu Residence” aroused great expectations for us. Unfortunately, they were bitterly disappointed. The room is carelessly furnished, everything is somehow soulless, you don't feel comfortable. …

Delicious restaurant with the best schnitzel we have ever eaten!Beautiful, spacious, renovated room.Upon request, we were given an extra bed which we then placed near the kitchenette so that we could use the large room undisturbed while the baby was sleeping.Very friendly staff, modern spa area, I particularly enjoyed the salt room with the heated loungers.Extra playroom for children, a lifesaver in bad weather.

We vacationed here for a week. The environment is very rural, quiet and out of the way. The room was very spacious and the box spring bed was good. Unfortunately no insect protection on the window.Since there is a horse farm next door and there are a lot of mosquitoes flying, unfortunately you couldn't leave the window open for ventilation. The cleanliness in the room and the hotel in general should be greatly improved, especially the pool area wasn't really cleaned while we were there, which is a shame. The room will be cleaned when you register it.Many of the information on the homepage are incorrect or no longer correct. This should therefore be urgently revised. External hotel consultants are already present in the hotel to deal with the problems - but that comes too late for our vacation.
