Hotel Mittelweg is a beautiful property in an equally beautiful part of Hamburg and I chose to stay there because of my love for historic buildings. However, there were certain shortcomings that lessened the pleasure of our stay. …

Amazing service with very attentive and helpful staff. Room although a bit on the smaller side it makes up for it with its extravagant decor. Great location within a very nice area although not in the city center very easily reachable within 15 minutes by bus. Breakfast with many options and served on a very ample and beautiful table setting! Overall a great experience. Most definitely will book for future Hamburg visits!

The most wonderful Downtown Abbey like place to stay while in Hamburg! My family and I enjoyed our stay a lot and wish to come back again:)Everyone working there was super friendly and kind, which made our stay even better! The breakfast was not only delicious, but beautiful. Also, upon request it was prepared to go, which was also sweet. The garden outside is amazing, taken care of and is a cozy place to enjoy a drink/a dish. Can definitely recommend!I wish I knew all of the names to whom I’d like to thank, but a special one goes to the kind woman in charge of breakfasts ❤️

The area is quiet, a few minutes walk from the Metro and about 10-15 minutes walk to restaurants. ||The hotel is a large property - sweeping staircase, interesting items of decor, paintings, etc. ||Welcome was warm and friendly. …

The décor is old fashion, that is very true and in many other cirumstances I would have find it overwhelming, specially in the bedrooms but Mittelweg Hotel has its own quirky signature, its own character and that old fashion feeling just …

Every now and again it is rather nice to go somewhere that doesn't have a polished marble lobby with glass swing doors and fawning porters. …

Fantastic stay in this hotel. It is situated in a quiet part of Hamburg but it is still easy to access the city centre very easily by bus or if like me you can walk it. …

We booked this hotel due the recommendations from this and other websites. We paid euro 330 for two nights incl breakfast and ended up in a tiny tiny little room on the 2nd floor where no elevator available. …

Hotel Mittelweg is a quaint ornately decorated hotel, very cosy, the service was friendly and very helpful. The bed was like sleeping in a cloud, wonderful. Breakfast was quite an experience. There was the usual cheese and cut meats and bread rolls but also fruits, cakes and slices, boiled eggs and Vita wheat Crackers, coffee and tea in silver service and so on.Quite a variety. The only thing we found as a minus was the Hotel felt cramped. There was too much furniture in the rooms, it smelled musty (old furniture) and we were forever tripping on the edges trying to pass by the narrow walk ways. We had to leave the bathroom light on so that we could see our way in the dark and open the windows for fresh air. I would definitely not recommend someone who suffers Asthma or allergies. It was a bit too expensive for what it was and we later found other accommodation more open and just as comfortable at 20€ cheaper in the same radius to our needs. Otherwise if you are looking for somewhere to chill, cosy up with a book or have tea on the terrace then Hotel Mittelweg is a good option.
