We landed up in Hotel Rhonhof after breaking down on the motorway and needing a a place to stay. We had been on the road for two days travelling from the North of Scotland to The Abenteuer & Allrad "2024 Show in Bad Kissingen so you can imagine we were tired and hungry.We were given a very warm welcome and made to feel very much at home. It was very late when we finally arrived, it was no trouble for us to have dinner and our room was very comfortable. The hotel is full of old charm and character."There is a silver lining to every cloud"Thank you to the team at Hotel Rhőnhof for taking care of us so well.

This was an amazing hotel and stay. Me and my wife were travelling through Germany and needed somewhere to stay for the night and found this. The service was excellent and so was the room that we got. The room is big, super clean and with a balcony. The hotel it self is also clean, the staff is friendly and the restaurant serves superb food. Big recommendation if you are nearby and need somewhere to stay. Nothing to complain about. I can only speak for the restaurant. Yet again another fantastic meal in Germany. Massive, juicy, tender steak with all the trimmings. Partner had chicken which came with rice and all the trimmings. Neither of us keen on rice but we both thought the rice was exceptionally good as well. Staff, food and prices brilliant.

a pearl with a lot of history and style. As part of a trip to the Sauerland, I stayed overnight once on the way there and back. I already knew the hotel from an overnight stay on a hike two years ago. This hotel has certainly had good times and hopefully good times are to come. I was impressed by the tasteful furnishings, which were put in with a lot of love and style by the parents of the current operator. You have to see it to understand what I mean, every detail seems well thought out, has great craftsmanship and fits into the surroundings. Yes, a comprehensive renovation is certainly required, hopefully this will be done by the right hands. The kitchen is also highly recommended and the staff is motivated and friendly. I should especially mention the boss, for whom I am keeping my fingers crossed that his wishes will be fulfilled.

The rooms are very clean. The furnishings are very rustic and very old. The bathroom (especially the fittings and shower head) also needs to be renewed.The stay was from Saturday to Sunday.We were only informed about an event in the evening when we checked in. It was hard to get a wink of sleep until midnight as people were still talking loudly outside.Even after the event, chairs and tables were rearranged loudly so that it could be heard in the room (2nd floor).That didn't make the stay for one night particularly pleasant.Breakfast was great. Rolls of different types, bread, cornflakes and muesli, a good selection of sausages, cheese and sweet spreads, fruit juices and various hot drinks were available to choose from.The staff is very nice and made you feel welcome.Maybe it was bad luck, but I think the prices shouldn't disturb your night's sleep.
