We traveled from the US to visit family. The staff were so welcoming. We arrived during a time when they were normally closed but they opened to let us into our room anyway. We had multiple meals at the restaurant and they were all excellent. My favorite was the fish. It was a wonderful stop on our travels through Europe. I highly recommended this hotel in restaurant if you are traveling through Sand am Main.

We arrived at the hotel after 7:30 pm and were informed by Andrea that although the reservation was confirmed by Booking, there was no room available and this may have occurred due to some failure in the reservation system.Despite the frustration at the time, Andrea was tireless in finding a solution for our lodging that night. Most of the hotels in the area had their rooms unavailable, but she stayed a long time on the phone looking for a solution until she found one. And when she found a good hotel nearby with an available room, Andrea was kind enough to drive us in her private car, once we were traveling by train and would have to walk till the new hotel.I did not have the joy of staying at the Weinhotel Goger managed by Andrea, but I was very pleased with her commitment to give us support and solutions. And we even had the pleasure of participating in the hotel's Biergarten while waiting for Andrea to search for an available room for us. Here's our thanks to Andrea and our desire to return another time to stay at a hotel where guests are so well received and treated. Thank you so much, Andrea!

The worst food I've eaten here in Franconia recently. But I have to say that I was traveling with a bus with almost 70 people. My pork loin was still bloody. The sauce was so enriched with sauce thickener that it was almost pudding.

Room:very hot under the roof, floor dusty and loose tiles, bed and television newBathroom tiny and old, I guess from the 70s-80s, absolutely in need of renovation; lampshade on bedside lamp broken (risk of injury) is billed as a comfort room. The only comfort was a dusty fan that ran all night long.Breakfast:You can't call it a buffet, round table with little choice, some of the rolls are not fresh, they are baked, who knows how many times, my sesame roll was rock hard. Coffee pot wanders across several tables. The absolute highlight was: the boss came to our table and poured himself coffee from the pot for guests! It doesn't work at all!!!

Very outdated restaurant.Rooms are sporadically furnished and please don't look in the corners or under the bed...dust and cobwebs greet you.Breakfast very sporadic and clear... rolls seem rather old.The "house ghost" in the form of the innkeeper wants to act like a buddy and makes you look like good friends...which won't go down well with everyone. It's better to look for clean rooms rather than pat someone on the back and say it's cool..Next time...[hope not]I knock him back in the form of a slap on the back of the neck...It's more for pensioners who don't make any demands but still want to pay dearly.
