Very nice campsite directly on the Franconian Saale with the possibility of renting canoes and swimming.Disadvantage: only cash payment, electricity at the pitches only costs 1€ coins, which you have to keep adding. Warm shower also 1€. Pitches have little to no shade.The Rossmühle restaurant is highly recommended!

Was there for a weekend with my nephew (10 years) and the roof tent. Our pitch was on the “Saalewiesen” tent meadow. Parking space was nice, electricity available, toilet nearby.The toilet facility was quite new and clean. It's just a shame that there isn't even a trash can in the toilets for e.g. B. Hygiene products were available. It's surprising that there was still no trash lying around. The main hygiene house with showers was also great.We had very nice neighbors with the other campers, many families but also a few groups of (young) adults were there. However, no one was disruptive or noticed negatively.On Saturday we rented kayaks and paddled to Gemünden. The railway line is currently closed, the return transfer takes place with a replacement rail service or by taxi.The operators are very nice and helpful. The small kiosk offers everything you could need and, except on Sundays, you can order delicious fresh bread rolls in advance. Cold drinks and ice cream are also available.We can't rate the playground, but it looked good. When the weather is good, the children can splash around and run around right on the bridge and the fish ladder in the Saale.The restaurant is particularly noteworthy. Was expecting more or less simple campsite food. The restaurant offers first-class, regional cuisine at moderate prices. Was very positively surprised.We'd love to come back. A pretty and nice place with good infrastructure.

We spent a long weekend with friends.Had great places on the banks, nice and helpful staff.Sanitary facilities were very clean and were cleaned several times if necessary.We will definitely come back.

Absolutely great campsite.Family friendly with playground.We had a place on the Saalewiese right by the water - really nice.The place has an electricity connection.The toilet house is quite close and clean.There are shower facilities in the "main building" (there's enough warm water for €1) - the rooms are clean.The only thing that was a bit disturbing was the noise from loud music from large groups celebrating. Unfortunately, no one controls whether the night's quiet is maintained (or at least that something is turned down).Here I recommend good headphones...

Were there for a weekend. Clean sanitary facilities, centrally located - therefore possibly further routes. Showers €1 for 8 minutes. Electricity is now a flat rate of €3 per day. We liked it 👍

Hello, not recommended in advance.The good reviews definitely do not reflect reality.As a group of young people, it was made clear to us as soon as we arrived and set up our tents that we were apparently not wanted.According to the landlord, we were much too loud (music and shouting), although our immediate neighbors didn't complain.This campsite is definitely not recommended for a group that wants to have a bit of fun here.

Beautiful campsite directly on the Saale. The Saale weir is right at the campsite. The sanitary shelves are very well maintained. There is a large refrigerator for the space. There is also a small kiosk on site that stocks drinks and a few spirits. You can rent canoes, kayaks and canoes directly on site. The course itself is beautifully located between the green forests of the Saale Valley. Quiet, beautiful. Also highly recommended for larger groups. We have already visited four times with a large group.
