This place was introduced to me by a friend years ago. It became our standard basis when going that part of Germany (Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Würzburg etc.) for business, conferences, exhibitions etc. …

First of all, I am close to nature with a dog and love, some say old-fashioned, I call it traditional inns like grandma's. Firstly, it gives me the feeling of family connection and secondly, it slows me down in these hectic times. So and for my preferences, this location is perfect. I love e.g. the brown tiles in the toilet, which remind me of my grandma's bathroom and therefore of very happy days. For me it is a restaurant that has so much heart and if it could talk it would have so damn much to say.Ultimately, everyone decides for themselves whether it suits them 😉

The food was okay, good home cooking in a decent size, but the cleanliness was appalling. It's rare that I wonder if I should just go ahead and cancel the order. The restaurant is old-fashioned, but that sort of thing is secondary. Due to the above point - never again!

Consistently warm food and the gourmet block were the argument for our spontaneous detour. The food was really good and plentiful. However, everything makes a somewhat run-down, old-fashioned impression. The hosts and service are nice. However, our 2 meals were not delivered at the same time. So I was almost finished by the time my friend got her food.Too bad. The location is great and you could certainly do more with it.

Dirty water bottle, dirty glasses. Unkempt atmosphere, also untidy staff. Last but not least, we were served a soup that was bad. Homepage menu doesn't even remotely match the actual menu. Sorry, but this inn is absolutely not recommended.

Very tasty food! We've been coming for years, especially for the delicious homemade dumplings! They simply taste great. Everything else tastes good too. The prices are cheap!I find it almost a bit outrageous when people with a gourmet block go out to eat there (which a lot of people do, you get the impression when you eat there) and then pay even less than the already very fair prices, and then on the Internet, So in public, complaining about the food or the fact that the toilets haven't been renovated. I find that if the toilets are dirty, it's usually due to guests who have dirty them and who can't behave! If you go to the restaurant in the morning when it opens, the toilets are definitely clean.

Better than the rest stop on the highway. The landlord very friendly and helpful. A large selection of food. Ederbier...We left the Würzburg-Frankfurt motorway at the service area and then went to Dammbach. …

I was there for lunch today and unfortunately I have to deduct a few stars based on the experience. The service was very slow and I found it rather unfriendly. We ordered turkey schnitzel with fries without any other side dishes and without sauce for our son. Then came a Jägerschnitzel with salad. The waitress didn't even apologize. Instead of the real food we got a naked turkey schnitzel without fries. Still we had to pay the full price. Also, the playground was fenced in with an electric fence and there was a horse on it (no joke). So our boys couldn't even pass the wait until dinner (which was also rather long). The only plus: the food that came tasted good. No recommendation and I won't eat here again.

We had venison goulash and sauerbraten with dumplings, and liver dumpling soup as a starter. Everything was delicious and the prices were unbeatable 👍🏼All in all, good German cuisine in the country, like grandma and grandpa's.We'd love to come back!

We went there to eat through the Schlemmerblock... the decor isn't necessarily nice, but the food is amazing. It was incredibly tasty and the operator is a sweetheart. We can recommend it with a clear conscience. Will definitely eat there again
