The house is very old. It smells funny. The room was a nightmare. Sockets don't work. The water in the shower splashes everywhere. No rollers in front of the window or curtains.I won't come here anymore.

For professional reasons I was looking for a cheaper room near Idar-Oberstein.My rating is based on the price/performance ratio!I came across this property through a Google search and comparison in various hotel search engines because it was by far the cheapest room in the region.Given the price, my expectations were very low, but after opening the door to the room I was very positively surprised.The furniture has clear signs of wear, but is still modern. The design of the bathroom is significantly older but OK.Even if the furniture shows signs of wear, everything was fine. Nothing was broken or squeaked.Positive:+ Price performance ratio+ Comfortable bed and the mattress was NOT saggy.+ My room had a spacious balcony, which was not mentioned in the description.+ Very clean room. There was no dust even on the cupboard or on the edge of the shower cubicle.+ The room key is also the entrance key for the front door, so you can easily get in even at night.+ There is enough parking space directly in front of the hotelNegative:- A negative point would be to mention that the key had to be picked up from another hotel. However, this is only three minutes away by car. However, I had also been there outside of the holiday season!- Outside the holiday season, breakfast is served in another hotel, which is only 3 minutes away by car. I can't say what it looks like during the holiday season.Conclusion:For this price I was pleasantly surprised. I will book here again on my next visit.

The price-performance ratio beats everything.I felt very comfortable in the guest house. Everything was clean and in order. I can't complain at all.The parking spaces in front of the door are free. If you want to have breakfast, you have to drive over to the other hotel. But that shouldn't be a problem.I can only warmly recommend this guest house.
