A small hotel next to the waterfall in Saarburg. The room was basic but clean but the general look in the hallways was tired. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was fine with a small Italian-esque menu which was nothing special. The waiter assured me my salad was gluten-free but the cramps the next day said different.

We were in the restaurant on 31 March 2024, around 1 p.m. (17 of us).|The waiter charged us 100 euros extra by mistake-which we don't believe at all that was the case. …

The food (we all had pizza) was ok, but the service let the whole thing down. ||I can only describe it at brusque. Not an ounce of warmth could be detected and we felt largely like an inconvenience. …

Food and service was good and the staff excellent, considering we were a group of 80 plus persons. We were seated outside by the edge of the river and waterfall. …

We arrived quite late to this hotel so did not spend much time in it and unfortunately could not make use of the spa facilities. Our room was well appointed and spotless with plenty of room. …

On a stroll through Saarburg we decided to have lunch here, based on the extensive menu and the beautiful location of the outside dining area; overlooking the water. It’s of course always a risk to chose a restaurant based on looks especially in a touristy area such as Saarburg. As appetizers we chose the carpaccio and the French onion soup. The carpaccio looked pretty but tasted a bit weird and was quite soppy. The “French” onion soup was tasty, but the only resemblance it had with an original French onion soup, were the -few- onions in and on top of it. The bread part used as a lid to cover the soup was made of pizza dough and resembled a giant mushroom. The Pinot Grigio was lovely and upon request we were given a carafe of (tap) water. For an entree my husband ordered a salad “sportiva” for each of us, which our waiter misunderstood as “one salad to share” so we only got one to share. When we asked the wait staff why we only got one, the (uninterested) waiter told us we “should have said it differently”. Interesting course of action, blaming your customers. He offered to have one more made but since we didn’t really like the food so far, we decided to leave it like this. The salad was okay and the portion fair. We were a bit disappointed that the “feta” on the salad was just white cheese and not actual Greek feta cheese. By that time however, we were eager to leave and didn’t say anything. Not impressed with the food or with the staff. Can not recommend.

My husband & I had the pleasure to visit Saarburg for only 1 night. From the moment we ascended the hill into the village we knew we were somewhere special. …

It was a lovely hotel with a good size room. No AC. Located right next to a bunch of restaurants and a pretty waterfall. Not far from other local attractions and the train station.

We asked for a quiet room and were given a suite in an annex. Access was a little strange, but the room was very spacious and quiet. A life size wire sculpture of the three graces was lost in a corner! Big bathroom, comfy bed and a nice breakfast. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the station with our wheely cases.
