Simply ignore 1-star review from a gentleman who clearly wanted an experience but at the owner's expense. Morning car traffic? This hotel sits in the rather busiest part of the otherwise quiet town - if you can't foresee this, pick up something in the country. This place in ran by very dedicated family and although it might get busy and you're suddenly not the most important person in the world, give them a chance to address it. I had a great, two-night stay on the business trip and everything was top notch. I usually have my first meal around noon to 1pm but I tried their breakfast intrigued by the variety of option and suggestion by the lovely owner at the front desk. Smoked fish, sourdough bread and scrambled eggs were excellent. If you travel throughout the Germany you know how difficult is to find a real gem that has true bread and genuine scrambled eggs. All in all, if you can't appreciate the efforts and the little things that make places like this special, just move on but know that you will regret.

We along with our 2 year old daughter stayed here for a total of 6 nights. This place is a mixture of all the good reviews and the bad reviews that everyone has so far written here. The place on it’s own is very nice, the main house where the restaurant and the bar is located and the Landhaus where some rooms and the wellness center is. But the location definitely needs a bit of getting used to. The traffic that goes along the length of the hotel didn’t annoy us much while we were in the wellness area, but it definitely did disturb our sleep to some extent solely because we kept the windows open due to the hot weather. The rooms in the Landhaus does come with a beautiful balcony, on the one had it was wonderful to spend some time on it, but sometimes it was annoying since we were unluckily surrounded by neighbors who actively smoked all the time. So it was not fun to smell smoke all the time on the balcony and the room. Our room was a bit outdated and the interiors were definitely not to our taste, but it was big and very well very kept. The house keeping did a very nice job tidying up the place once every two days. The wellness area though small, was enough. It was hardly too crowded to enjoy some down time.Breakfast was one of the best that I have ever had in all my stays in hotels. We had 6 times breakfast there and yet we were unable to enjoy everything that was offered. I mean the options were basically endless. The dinner on the other hand, could be improved on many aspects. Except for the main course, every other course were exceptional. Main course were of huge quantities, and the sides were oftentimes cold. They looked fantastic, but they lacked the flavors. But what impressed us the most was the hospitality of the staff who worked there. They were friendly, had a smile on their faces all the time and they were happily accommodating all our requests. It’s not a family/kid oriented hotel, but we were offered every amenity and support to enjoy our time as a family. Thank you to each one of you, especially Janine. She singly handedly made our stay 1000 times better. All in all, the hotel definitely lack the standards of a 4 star hotel. But, the standard of hospitality that is offered is way above what is normally offered even in 5 star hotels. Will we be willing to visit this hotel again? Yes, for sure. Because at the end of the day, hospitality makes you enjoy your stay. The rest can be managed 😊

What is the German word for pampered? That’s how my husband and I felt our two nights at Erasmus Hotel. When we arrived, Ute asked us to sit on the terrace where she met us with glasses of their house cider and explained what to expect during our stayWe enjoyed a quiet afternoon at the pool and saunas before dinner. I highly recommend the daily chef’s menu. Both nights courses were unique and deliciousWe hiked directly from Erasmus to the Saar-Hunsruk trail which is a delightful half-day hike in the park. Our second day we rented bikes from the hotel for a ride along the Saar River. The service was outstanding. Ute worked to arrange a facial service for me with Nancy which was thoroughly relaxing. We learned about the local wines in a tasting with Janina. Everyone was accommodating and spoke English well to make our entire stay one we will always remember fondly

Completely not satisfying. The face on reception was cold and arrogant, no smile — just polite.Small, considerably expensive room with road car noise starting from 4 AM.In his respond the owner knowing the fact I can't answer further, lying about everything: there's no shame to ask about free upgrade if you know there's a rooms available, and owner approved the fact there was...He's trying to put me as guilty for asking for free upgrade, but I've complained about night car noise in terms of price I paid. The food was eatable, but very salty. Complaining doesn't bring chef apologize, and not any kind of compensation. And again owner lying about me asking for something "free".To get apologize for chef — it's definitely nothing to do with "for free". But there wasn't any.And one more lie to say that someone checked my food. No one!I ate everything — no leftovers to test — I was really hungry to have argument or to wait for another meal ready. So, the owner respond to my review — 100% lies.Actually, to be honest, I have to admit: breakfast was good indeed.Definitely not a place I'd recommend to stay.Just taking money from the guests as much as they can — thats all.Maybe they was good before and tired to continue to make efforts to stay good.

The room was nicely decorated. TV in every room. To use the coffeemachine you had to unplug the fridge. There were bo drinks in the minibar. Personal was very friendly. The spa area is great with a naturalwater pool at 25’C unfortunatly theres a much used road nearby that makes sone noise. Not terrible thoThe diner was ok, id give it a 8/10Breakfast was absolutely awesomeBest scambled eggs ever!!!You can freshly press your orange juice or smoothie. Great choice in cheese, ham an all you could ever wish for.

Nice hotel but unfortunately no inside pool and there weren't any cream or other sanitary products in the room which is a bit of a pity. Otherwise nice and quiet place which is perfect for hiking and mountain biking. The restaurant and it's breakfast are fantastic! We had to stay more then 1 night.

We had a delightful mini break here. The restaurant is top notch! Breakfast buffet is great. Spa area is small, but sufficient and charming. Spa towels/robes much appreciated. The sommelier lead a nice hike to sample local Riesling wines. Area is beautiful. Only complaint— and it is minor — is the WiFi seemed slow. Everyone working there seemed happy to be there.
