Tons of character at this place. It’s a very unique stay for sure. They have a great self-serve fridge with drinks and snacks as well as a table you can lounge at with your friends. They trust you to settle up at checkout so you just have to make note of what you’ve taken. The owners are experts at hospitality. Breakfast was included and was great. Since the owner knew we were backpacking/hiking she invited us to make additional sandwiches to bring with us for lunch and even gave us sleeves to wrap them in. This was our favourite stay during our journey down the Rhine and I would recommend it to anyone passing through.

The most amazing host, we had a reservation problem that was quickly addressed. The hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Breakfast was seriously good. A piece of cake from the bakery is a must, so many choices, generous servings and absolutely delicious.

Lovely place! The café is excellent with a fantastic choice of cakes. The café is the centre of it all – it also works as the reception and breakfast restaurant. …

We stayed at this hotel for one night whilst walking the Rheinsteig. It is a lovely hotel attached to a great Cafe / Bakery (Cafe Maass). We were made very welcome on arrival and able to use the lift to carry our bags to the room. …

We were walking along the Rheinsteig, so did not have any issues with parking. The bakery/hotel is located on the edge of the lovely old centre of Braubach. Our room was spacious and well laid out. …

I stayed one night here because it is right at the end point of the Rheinsteig route. It was amazing! The room has stable WiFi and the owner was very friendly. The breakfast was in their own bakery. Highly recommend their fresh breads.

If you hate the smell of fresh baked bread drifting into your room in the early morning--well, I guess this is not the place for you. OMG--is there anything better than that? …

Loved our room, clean, spacious and bright. Private parking area. Grocery store is nearby. We walked all over town and along the Rhine from here. Easy walk or drive up to the castle. …

We ate in Cafe Maaß after visiting Marksburg Castle. The selection of breads and cakes is excellent. I had a marzipan cake which was probably the nicest cake I had during my entire holiday. …

Super! The owner is really welcoming. Breakfast was amazing. I wake up with the perfume of bread and cakes in the morning from the oven. I totally recommend this hotel and the cafe and bakery. I loved it!
