My daughter and I stayed at the four side plaza hotel in trier for one night in May. The hotel was easy to find, with ample parking, and a great check in experience.  …

We arrived by train and took a bus to the hotel. Hotel is located off of a round about. After dodging traffic with luggage, we were told at check in that there was a tunnel we could have used. Wish we were told that before arriving. Our room was large but sparsely furnished. A plus were there were plenty of plugs. We knew before arriving that the rooms did not have air conditioning. But since it was July, we assumed we would be provided with fans. We did ask at the desk about fans but it seemed like an "issue" so we did without. The bathroom was fine and we had plenty of hot water for showers. The 2 waters in the room was a nice touch but I would have liked it better to have a coffee maker or kettle. The breakfast was WAY too expensive so we were just going to get coffee but couldn't get anyone to wait on us so we left to get coffee in town.It is a little confusing to get to and from town by bus but when you figure it out it's not bad. We have ridden trains and buses all over Germany and Trier definitely has the nicest buses. It is walkable but it was hot and we were tired. As in other reviews, the elevator is small but we didn't have to wait long so not a problem for us.After spending all day in the old city, we were looking forward to winding down sitting outside the hotel (VERY nice area) with drinks from the bar. Well, not only was the restaurant closed (no dinner) but the bartender called in sick so bar was closed too. There is a small selection of beers, wines, drinks, sodas and snacks you can purchase in the lobby. FYI - this has nothing to do with the hotel but if you are thinking of buying one of the bottled Aperol Spritz from the lobby, DON'T. That was absolutely the worst drink I have had in my 64 years. My husband who will drink anything agreed it was horrible. He did drink it as to not waste 7€ but it took him a long time. The hotel is conveniently located near several grocery stores so that was nice. I would not recommend staying here in the summer.

Modern Hotel with Stunning River Views, but Some DrawbacksI recently stayed at the FourSide Plaza Hotel in Trier and found it to be a mixed experience. The room I stayed in was exactly as advertised, with modern amenities and a wonderful view of the Mosel River, which added a serene touch to my stay. The hotel’s contemporary design gives it a fresh and welcoming ambiance. However, there were some notable downsides. The lack of air conditioning in the rooms became a significant issue during the warm summer nights. It made sleeping uncomfortable and somewhat detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the covered parking facility, while convenient, is quite small and challenging to navigate, especially for larger vehicles like SUVs. The 9-euro per night parking fee also seemed steep, particularly for paying guests. On a positive note, the receptionists were very clear and efficient in their instructions, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Overall, while the hotel has its perks, especially with the scenic views and modern decor, the lack of air conditioning and the parking situation are worth considering for future guests.

Trier is lovely to visit. Rooms are comfortable but broken shower fixture did not get fixed and the rooms lack the amenities, such as tea and coffee facilities or a small fridge or Aircon, one might hope for from a 4* venue, which was frustrating given the price.

Our room had no towels or shampoo, there was garbage under the bed, there was broken glass on the floor in the bathroom, and the room smelled like a chain smoker had lived there for 10 years. Asked politely for a refund and the person at the front desk said there’s nothing she can do to help. Didn’t even offer us towels. Stay away, stay far away!

The room was okay and clean. Wifi worked really well. However, the room did not have airconditioning which made it really hard to fall asleep in the summer heat. The staff was friendly and helpful. Be sure to park at the hotel parking spots. The hotel is located near the highway at wat seems not to be best part of town. It is situated right next to the river though. There also some supermarkets nearby (walking distance) if you want to get some cheap breakfast.

No airco, nothing much to eat nearby. Breakfast was great. Never book through Agoda, we paid for 6 and when we arrived it seemed as we booked only for 2 and had to pay 4 extra!

Stayed at this hotel for work and really enjoyed it. The staff was welcoming and the rooms were very clean / comfortable. Like most European hotels - there is no AC/fridge in rooms, but the open window allowed for great air flow. The breakfast was absolutely AMAZING! The food was fresh and variety was great. Typically, I never eat breakfast at hotels but in this case I went every morning. In addition to the breakfast, the bar staff was super friendly and made delicious cocktails. The drinks were fairly priced and everyone was quite satisfied.Overall, I was really happy with our accommodations at the hotel and the staff was extremely friendly and eager to ensure we had a great stay. I would 100% recommend this location again.

Very friendly staff, everyone speaks English and are very attentive. The rooms are clean, and with very comfortable beds. The barman is very friendly and the random cocktail he prepared for me was great.Didn't have the chance to try the food, the kitchen closes relatively early.
