Non-existent Wi-Fi, it works little and rarely, main entrance door near the rooms so you hear it slam every 10 minutes or so, non-existent cleaning, they say they clean every week but the dust around is always more and more if they find something to they throw it around your room, moldy curtains, when it's hot outside it's hotter in the room than outside, when I arrived the pots and cutlery you find in the room for cooking were completely dirty 🤢, constant noises of I don't know what.Positive sides? Location and nice room

The guesthouse where I stayed for my 3-week intensive course. It is in the center of Freiburg, within walking distance of the institute. Appropriate and safe accommodation is provided. There is weekly room cleaning but it is not satisfactory. Bedding should be changed, and certain cleaning precautions should be taken. It is so distressing that I had an asthma attack during my stay. Unfortunately, I think it does not suit the institute.Laundry and shared kitchen use are suitable for those who plan to stay for a long time, but I cannot comment on these issues since I do not need them. Curtains should be changed. There are signs warning to stay quiet after 10pm, but this is not followed.

We slept very well there, good mattresses. Very nice bright room. Nice neighborhood and easy to reach on foot from the main train station... Our impression was that it was mostly occupied by people taking language courses. Nice large balconies in the lounges. But we had a lot planned and were actually only there to sleep.

For me, the guesthouse was the perfect base for a 10-day stay in Freiburg as part of further training. The room was clean enough and a nice size, with a single bed with a bedside table and lamp, a desk with a table lamp, a table fan, a large wardrobe with a full-length mirror and a shelf. There was a small refrigerator and a basic set of (cooking) utensils: small, large and deep plates, cups, glasses and cutlery as well as pots and pans. The shower room has underfloor heating. There are shared kitchens and lounges as well as terraces/balconies available and a laundry room with washing machines and dryers. The guesthouse is not a hotel in the classic sense, but a guesthouse with a focus on (language) students. Accordingly, there is no daily cleaning service and no TV in the room. The main train station and the city center can be easily reached in just a few minutes on foot. Shops and restaurants are just around the corner. It was great for my purposes and I would love to come back.

I stayed here for 2 weeks. The outside room in which I lived was relatively pleasant in terms of noise, only sometimes at night you could hear loud conversations in the hallway or something similar, but I was prepared for that because there are a lot of international, young people staying here. The accommodation is a middle ground between a youth hostel and a holiday apartment, there are shared kitchens and lounges, and the room has a box with the most necessary cooking equipment and cutlery. The room also includes a mini fridge and private bathroom, which is cleaned once a week. The furniture was all in good condition and the bed was comfortable. I first had to ask if I could be reached if I had any concerns because I had an old information folder in the room. However, I then reported this and was assured that it would be updated. A laundry facility on site and weekly linen change (towels, bed linen) are also possible. You also have to purchase WiFi in the office, but it is currently not available every day. But all in all it was a pleasant accommodation for my needs, I had a table to work on and was otherwise on the move a lot. Unfortunately, the upper rooms can only be reached via stairs. I don't think this accommodation is suitable for wheelchair users, as the bathrooms themselves and the access are very narrow. If I have such concerns, I would contact the staff beforehand. I would come again for a short trip or something similar.

Everything is available for cooking. Towels, wardrobe, desk, refrigerator, kitchen, balcony. All is well. But the internet doesn't work well in some places.

Clean and fairly well equipped rooms, located 10 minutes walk from the Goethe Institut, with supermarkets right next door, a bakery.Only point that could be negative is that the kitchen is shared
