We are cycle touring with two small children. The owners were really friendly and helpful (and lent us a tarpaulin to prevent our tent getting too muddy). Facilities were fine (token showers, plugs for phone charging in toilet block). Would recommend.

Awesome location, short bike ride to town. Right on the river. I was lucky to get in, BOOK IN ADVANCE. Clean facilities. Cafe/Bar on edge of site. Very accommodating hosts Harry & Chris. Thank you.

WORST experience camping during Eurovelo route so far. If you are camping with tent this is not the place. RAT infestation, absolutely no space for tents, bad service. Keep reading for details, or just know this is not for campers with tents. The tents are set in a tiny area right between the reception and the garbage disposal, literally next to each other. There were 7 tents in the space that you would normally see 2 or max 3 in a normal camping site. Upon arrival an older woman showed us the “possible”space for our small 2 person tent, and two coins for the showers for €20. It was late and no other options available so we took it. That wouldn’t be too terrible of experience, until we started to see rats running from the garbage place to under the reception, where they probably have a big nest. There were all sizes, running back and forth right next to us and our tent. And also by the bushes next to the reception. I was terrified and at that point remembered another person’s review mentioning a “rat problem” in this place. It is serious, it was so bad that we decided to remove our tent and sleep in the gravel by the water in the public space. There are 2 restaurants next to this place so btw that and the garbage disposal, no sure where the rats are coming from. But with the amount of rats we saw in a couple of hours, there is no way that the operators at this site are not aware of it. But they just collect the money and place the campers in the middle of that.Pretty sad the campers with tents are given the worst places. They could simply open up some space where all the RV’s are and not place campers among the rats but again probably don’t want to loose ANY money.

This is a very nice stop on the Rhine. The owners met us with a smile and helped us with electricity extension to charge our e-bikes. There is only a little space for tents, big enough for 3-4 tents. It is well located.  …

Very friendly owners, fair price for the place. Payable with PayPal (what could be convenient), shower has hot water, the lavatory place was clean, and I enjoyed having sparkling water included.

We stayed here for two nights so we could attend the Parkrun close by. The facilities are good and clean. The Lady who ran the camp was friendly with us and liked our Son who could speak German with her. …

It was an amazing weekend = it couldn't be any better! ;) 3 days in a tent with 6 years old son, who is just getting in touch with camping. The staff was very friendly and gave us a helping hand all the time (+ always reminded us: "Do not rush, is your vacation time - enjoy it!" :). The grass surface is nicely flat and even, under a big walnut tree = no dew falling on a tent and keeps everything dry. Once again, the staff were very nice. They suggested to us an interesting cycling trip options and a good and safe place for SUP (I believe, much better than I googled out). The facility was always clean, a nearby restaurant serves a decent food for both kids and adults and the playground was a good choice to fill up an 1+hour breaks in our trip schedule ;)

You would never expect to find such a nice camping site when you drive through the dense industrial area of Ludwigshafen & Mannheim. …

The site is situated on the banks of the Rhine, by the Strandbad Lido. Facilities include a new toilet block in the centre of the site and a shower block which includes toilets at the site entrance (these are in need of some renovation). 10 euro deposit for key and 1 euro for shower token. Be aware that if you have a dog they are not allowed in the Lido or the beach in front of the site during the summer, the whole area marked off with red and wrote posts so no access to the Rhine on a hot day so your dog can cool down. How about providing an area for dogs on the stone beach in an area in front of the site? Enjoyed our stay , the cycle tracks into the Mannheim Centre were excellent. The site warden's were friendly and helpful.
