Great place - highly recommended! My husband, dog and I had a wonderful holiday in the 'Studio am Brand'. The compact cabin is cozy, charmingly decorated, and well-equipped. The location, high on a steep hillside above the town of Tegernsee, provides lovely views over the lake. I liked the fact that the town, with restaurants, shopping and museums, was within walking distance. Next to the studio is a larger 'chalet' that looks like it would be super for a family vacation. The 'Brand' is lovely and quiet - you hear nothing but birdsong and the babbling of a little stream nearby. The friendly, helpful owner knows the area very well and supplied us with many useful 'travel hacks.' Try it - you'll like it (and your dog will, too).

This was the 7th time we stayed in Ms. Habicht's beautiful studio. As always, a fantastically beautiful place to unwind and enjoy life! The location and the view of the lake from the couch is priceless and we often lay on the slopes with the deckchairs (free of charge) and enjoyed the sun. We are completely satisfied and there is nothing we would miss here. We can only warmly recommend the studio and the lower chalet and would be happy to come back.

Very cozy holiday home with a unique location and a view of Lake Tegernsee. We have been coming here regularly since 2011 and always enjoy the peace and the cozy atmosphere in Haus am Brand. The landlady is very friendly and always helpful. We are already looking forward to the next time!

We were last at the “Haus am Brand” in May. Because we liked it so much, we booked the chalet for a week with a couple we were friends with. And this time we had defined the destination ourselves in the navigation system, which is why the journey was completely problem-free. While nature wasn't quite there yet up on the mountain in May, we were now very surprised by the lush vegetation. And this lush green: simply fantastic! Hiking in the mountains is really fun. There was also a little news: there is now free WiFi in the chalet. Because it was really hot at times, over 30 degrees, we looked for some way to cool down. In Tegernsee there is a bathing area (the lawn on the shore) - located in the middle of the town with shady trees - which offers direct access to the cool lake. Just lovely. The chalet was very clean, spacious and the quiet location was very good for us all. In the evening it is pleasantly cool up on the mountain and we rounded off our second holiday at Tegernsee with a barbecue. We booked the smaller studio again for the beginning of January, because there is supposed to be a lot of snow here in winter.

Repeat offenders with risk of infection! We visited both houses for the first time in 2019 as a couple and now again with our friends and are still thrilled! The stay was really our highlight of the year! The host family is refreshingly uncomplicated, very helpful and incredibly friendly! The apartment and studio are comfortably furnished with everything you need. The location is a dream, both in the snow and in the sunshine! You're on your own and still only have to walk 5-10 minutes into town (depending on how slippery the slope is, next time we'll bring the toboggan with us :) We're still raving about the lovely holiday and we'd all like to come back!

It's a shame, there's clearly room for improvement here.Great undisturbed location, just above the lake. The increase to the apartment is a good 24%!Unfortunately not clean, even though the cleaning lady was there. Single room could not be used because it was blown over and full of spiders.Bathroom not much better. The entire apartment was very damp, we had to use the tiled stove and the additional pellet stove.Fantastic view that would actually be better if the trees were trimmed.Awning defective! The oven only works if the studio next door doesn't also have the oven on. Free parking spaces at the apartment

I had a wonderful 5 day stay in the Studio Apartment this November. The studio is modernly furnished, has an automatic oven, underfloor heating in the bathroom, a modern kitchen island and appliances and was very clean. You can find everything you need to feel comfortable there. Thanks to the many large windows, the studio is nice and bright and you have a great view of Lake Tegernsee - directly from the couch. The stove also creates a cozy atmosphere and keeps you very warm even in winter. And the best thing is that the stove is fully automatic and does everything by itself - no knowledge of how to stoke wood is necessary. Underfloor heating in the bathroom is extremely practical, especially in winter. In the kitchen you can find everything you could possibly need, starting with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils, numerous appliances for making coffee... simply everything you need to cook really well. The location of the studio is great. On the one hand, it is secluded and you are completely in nature; several hiking trails start practically on the doorstep. But at the same time, the place with the supermarket and bakery can be reached on foot in just a few minutes (I quickly got used to the steep ascent and descent). So a perfect combination :-).I particularly liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the hostess - she takes care of everything should you need anything.I can fully and warmly recommend the studio!

The view of Lake Tegernsee is amazing. However, we expected more for the price (€167 per night with a dog via booking). Everything is in need of renovation. The shower in the bathtub with a curtain, the beds with boards instead of slatted frames, the terrace with weeds, etc. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio doesn't fit. Otherwise, you can quickly get to the city via the steep descent/ascent. The view is of course great, and the size of the accommodation is just as good.Pictures from September 2020
