I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my repeated stays at Hotel Malerwinkel, captivated by its location and the mesmerizing views from the breakfast restaurant. The renovated rooms are well-equipped, yet I consistently encounter a challenge with limited breakfast choices, particularly for individuals like myself, who are lactose intolerant and abstain from meat. It’s really sad that, in this day and age, the breakfast options remain quite restricted, no dairy-free milk and minimal choices for vegans. Considering the diverse dietary preferences of guests, enhancing breakfast options would not only be a considerate touch but also make the overall experience for many, including myself. On a positive note, I appreciate the hotel’s welcoming policy for dogs in rooms, adding to the overall appeal.

While we only had a quick drink after dinner here, I would like to commend the excellent wait staff and the fine selection of spirits. A locally produced Williams Pear Schnapps was especially good. The setting right by the lake provided a wonderful ambiance. I would love to return and try dinner as well.

I didn’t like the hotel service, i have never been disrespected by any hotel before not like this. I was sitting at the table i asked the waiter to clean the table I’m sitting at since there was a box of cigarette as well as a small lamp, the waiter took both of the things and threw the box of cigarette and lamp on my leg, while the lamp hit knees, as well as when i asked the waiter why he did what he did he started yelling at me and disrespecting me, when i asked the manger to make him apologize to me he said that i don’t deserve an apology, and that the waiter actions where not justifiable as disrespect .

If you ever need to get some traditional and some modern food I can recommend visiting this place! The food is fresh and there's a good amount of choices and also a daily menu. …

I was lucky enough to visit Rottach-Egern, Lake Tegernsee specifically, for work. We stayed at this guesthouse and had a great experience. The women dress in traditional Bavarian clothes and the rooms are quite sweet. …

was at the half empty restaurant at 6pm and was served by the rudest waiter I have had the displeasure to meet. Avoid at all costs!
