The customs house in Zschornau is not recommended. Breakfast was very poor, as was dinner. No man can be satisfied with two small potatoes. The beer garden closes at 7 p.m. in the evening, weather permitting. We've had nicer experiences in other places. The rooms also leave a lot to be desired. The TV is broken even though we pointed this out.

We visited there from November 17th to 22nd, 23. We were greeted very friendly, the room was spacious, there was a balcony. A hand soap in the bathroom would have been nice... The food was satisfactory. The breakfast is rich - something for every taste. The dinner varied. You can choose your own 3-course menu in the morning (3 main meals to choose from). We would recommend the house!

Although dogs are allowed and you pay €10 per day for them, it is not recommended. We had half board, breakfast/dinner and it was not allowed to take your four-legged friend into the dining room. If we had known this beforehand, we would not have booked a holiday there.

Very nice hosts. Good rooms. Great breakfast. Cozy atmosphere. All wishes will be fulfilled. We felt very comfortable the whole time (a week). The half board is tasty and completely sufficient. The drinks are well chilled and are served by the landlady with a few nice words. The highlight is the barbecue evening. The boss grills himself. The food (steak, roaster, chicken) is served until you can't eat any more. Plus potato salad and fresh salad of the finest quality. Many thanks again to the innkeepers and all the other good spirits in the house for their entire time in the house.

We spent a long weekend in the "Am alten Zollhaus" in November and felt very comfortable. Very nice and attentive hosts who are happy to give you tips for things to do. Rooms are OK, some of them are a bit old, but they are clean. Decent mattresses. Food is also good and large enough portions. If you want more, just ask, no problem. The sauna and swimming pool included in the price are also very good. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. We will definitely book again.D. + G. Jansen

We spontaneously booked a short break in this very nice hotel. It is a very pleasant house with very friendly innkeepers. It all fits together perfectly. The food was varied and tasty. The wonderful peace and quiet rounds everything off perfectly. We had pleasant days, would like to thank you very much and wish you a nice Easter and many satisfied guests. Kind regards, Gerhard, Barbara and Pudelchen Billi from Thuringia.

The country hotel is conveniently located for the start of your tour to the Ore Mountains. The operators are friendly. A room was missing when checking in. But this was announced immediately. Breakfast is great. You have to make compromises at dinner. The portion sizes are very manageable. Unfortunately (as is often the case) the drink prices are far too high. Beer is sometimes the cheapest drink 😞 which is not possible. The beds are very bad. A restful sleep is out of the question. Ours were more than worn out. Waking up again and again with back and pelvic pain...that's not possible. The cleanliness of the seating leaves a lot to be desired. In my opinion, this furniture is for bulky waste...simply worn out. The TV is no bigger than a smaller PC monitor. The swimming pool is completely ok for this house. We didn't go to the sauna.

Rooms weren't cleaned at all for the first few days. When I asked if they had forgotten hand soap and shower gel, I was told that they can buy it from me and it is not included in the price. Dinner was served until 7 p.m. then we were directed to the room, the guest room was then closed, now awesome, sauna yes, sauna towels were charged an additional €3. Breakfast buffet was ok, dinner portions are more for children. I was charged €6 for a second helping without informing me of this beforehand. I think people are just being ripped off here and taking money from holiday guests. Cannot recommend this house. There are no options in town either, such as a bakery, butcher's shop or tavern where you could still stay. All in all, it's a shame, the organizer should take this out of its program.
