We stayed for one night in the hotel, and had dinner in the restaurant in the evening. The staff is very friendly and we felt very welcome. The rooms are very basic and could use some decor on the walls, and maybe a kettle in the room.Very reasonable priced parking in connection with the hotel. The food in the restaurant is top notch, and there seemed to be many local people in the restaurant, which is always a good sign.

Over the past 2 months my cousins and I spent a total of 3+ weeks living at Siegfriedwerft to care for a family member nearby. We also brought a large group of about 30 family and friends together for a celebration. The experience individually and as a group were nothing short of excellent: the quality and warmth of service, the coziness of the rooms, the freshness and local character of the food, and the ambiance and centrality of the location were nothing short of superb. All while being reasonably priced. Special shout-out to Ollie, Uwe, Andy and his wife, Alex and his wife (with apologies for missing some names). They worked with us to get things just right, changed them unbureaucratically on short notice when needed, and were a shining example of what should always come first in service: the well-being of the guest. That's why we will keep coming back in years to come.Word to my fellow Americans: If spaciousness is important for you, ask for the larger room that sleeps 3 or the Ferienwohnung = vacation apartment, which can sleep up to 5. The other rooms are small by our standards, tho that is arguably part of the charm of a converted wooden dock building.

I think we ate several times there at our stay in town, very traditional, the location, and absolute in time that food - recommending the sailing pan, the other pan, and the athmosphere itself! Direct top of the water (outside)

It's a perfectly adequate hotel on the harbour of a lovely little North German town. It's nothing fancy, but it's clean and functional and the staff are friendly and helpful. The town is actually a little gem in case you're trying to decide which town to visit, with lovely old buildings and a nice, long sandy beach. Recommended.

This special accomodation gives you the right feeling of the baltic life. Located in the harbour and on the water the main house boasts a restaurant and bar with nice local service. The rooms are quiete small, but if you are on your own party you can rent a club room for your diner.

I've never been to a restaurant where you get treated like this.Bad service and we left in a really bad mood, despite the good weather and nice location in Eckernförde.I am really sorry we visited that place, could have been a beautiful night.

Very disappointing experience with rude patrons outside on the deck and a swarm of fruit flies that kept following us throughout three table changes..... when this problem was pointed out to the wait staff it was just shrugged off as being nature at work......The food was ok, however, the management is obviously not too concerned about an infestation of flies buzzing around the restaurant.
