This is a very nice and well-equipped hotel with large rooms in a suburb of Lübeck. There is a railroad track near but the traffic is not continuous. The hotel was quite comfortable and had a nice outdoor area for summertime. …

Spent 7 nights in the appartment downstairs with terrace. Such a serene, tranquil environment right next to the beautiful Waldhusen forrest. Affordable price. Trainline nearby is really quiet. Supermarkets in walking distance in Kücknitz. Nice buffet style breakfast with everything you could want. Room was fully equipped, the bed was on the upper level. No air condition but plenty of windows to open and let a breeze in on a hot day. We hired E-bikes at Sellmanns bike shop in Kücknitz. 30 minutes to Travemünde by E-bike. When riding to Lübeck there is a bus shuttle that takes cyclists through the Herren Tunnel free of charge. Can cycle to the Hemmelsdorfer swimming lakes or to Ratekau. Loved our stay and would highly recommend and definitely return.

We stayed overnight upon arrival late at night on a ferry. Luckily, while reviewing the booking I realized that the reception closed at 20.00hrs and arrangements needed to be made for key collection for a later arrival. …

By chance, because it was the best location for us, we booked it at the Hotel Waldhusen. A very nice, well-kept hotel with apartments and rooms. As an old Lübeck resident, I find the location perfect for exploring the area in all directions. From Lübeck to the Baltic Sea, everything is easy to reach.A beautiful, well-kept garden completes the hotel grounds. The welcome from the owners and operators was very warm and loving. All in all, it creates a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. Thank you!The price is absolutely reasonable and fair.We would book again at any time and would therefore recommend it.

Good location, quiet and with lots of greenery around. I really appreciated both breakfast and dinner and the friendliness with which they are offered. The room was very spacious and clean with a large window which I really appreciated the view. The bed was very comfortable, of course there was no bidet in the bathroom.I have fond memories of my stay here.

We stayed in this hotel for three days and I have to say we are happy with everything. The room was nice, the breakfast was good and imaginative, the beds were good, the staff and boss were very friendly. There is nothing to complain about…Even the nearby railway line and the streets in the immediate vicinity, which have been criticized several times, are only minimally disruptive. It's quiet at night. And the proximity to Travemünde and Timmendorfer Strand is nothing to sneeze at either. So: clear recommendation from our side.

Breakfast for €13, the same every day. Raw peppers that are greasy, berries with mold. Not having breakfast still means paying. So don't pay for breakfast right away upon arrival!!! This is considered a binding order!
