We were happy with the location (very easy to reach even without a car!) of the entire complex and enjoyed the time - a star deduction for the food, which was really not particularly suitable for the children and so we had to, despite half board, which is mandatory, We mostly take care of our own food. The vegan meal was very interesting and very tasty - but unfortunately I was the only person in the family who was happy with it.If it were possible to just book rooms, we would like to come back :)

Wonderful weekend in the Theodor Schwarz HouseWe spent a great weekend in the Theodor Schwarz House - with our extended family, consisting of around 30 people, including many small children. We received a very hospitable welcome upon our arrival and were completely satisfied throughout our entire stay. The house offers everything you need for a relaxing time: comfortable lounges, a sauna, plenty of open space to play and relax, and its own playground. We were particularly impressed by the international and super-friendly team, which conveys real hospitality. We would definitely like to come back and can only warmly recommend the Theodor-Schwarz-Haus to anyone who wants to spend a nice and relaxing time. Thank you very much, dear AWO team!

Very great apartments, handicapped accessible and clean. The breakfast is very good. Dinner is not entirely child-friendly. There is a lack of pasta that every child always eats. The selection is limited but you can find something. The guests are very unfriendly to the staff, which is a shame and really annoys us as nice guests.Would only like to come back without dinner.

Decided completely spontaneously and did everything right. Great location, nice rooms, very extensive breakfast buffet and friendly staff. This is how I imagine vacation and relaxation. Much more relaxed and pleasant than in a hotel room. Definitely staying longer next time.

We were there as a group (16 people) for further training. The rooms were nice and big and nicely furnished. Unfortunately, both mattresses were unusable for sleeping. The food was incredibly bad. The vegetables were cooked to death and had no taste at all. There was also no information about what was in the dishes. So on the 2nd evening there were stuffed peppers, but without meat, no one could tell me what it was filled with, even when I specifically asked. Of the 4 hot meals, 3 were with legumes. This makes it inedible for me. Unfortunately the staff only spoke English. One had the impression that more effort was made for the larger group of people. All in all, thanks but I don't recommend it!

The house itself reminds me of my youth, for me a mixture of country school home and youth hostel. Not upscale, but still perfectly fine. Our double room is spacious despite the additional cot in the room. The existing refrigerator is super practical and also the possibility of washing the lunch boxes in the room. The wear and tear can be seen in one place or another, but I don't expect any luxury. The outdoor area makes e.g. T. a somewhat loveless impression and the playground is functional, but only partially suitable for my child (17 months). From what I've noticed, there might be a little more entertainment for children, but everyone is always friendly.Unfortunately I have to agree with the previous review regarding the food selection. The dinner is really anything but child-friendly. I wonder a bit why it is always assumed that children prefer to eat schnitzel with fries. My child tried many of the dishes on offer, but we mostly stuck with salad or dry pasta. I was even reluctant to give her the wedges because they were very salty and ultimately comparable to fries. The peas, in turn, had been drowned in an indefinable sauce so that the child could not eat them either. I know that commercial kitchens aren't always easy, but I would still like to see a little more attention paid to the needs of small children and not just just fries and pasta with sauce. The breakfast, on the other hand, is good and sufficient; the only thing I miss here is a larger selection of fresh fruit (apples and pears are available). What really bothers me, however, is that smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises and the smoking guests are absolutely inconsiderate about it. So we were allowed to walk between two smoking people to get to breakfast, as they were both unabashedly standing in the doorway with a smoke in their hand to see what their children were up to. Smoking pavilions or something similar would be nice because not everyone wants to smoke a (passive) cigarette with their coffee. Not to mention the still lifes of the overflowing, rain-soaked ashtrays a few meters from our room door...I find it sad how some guests treat the staff. That takes a really thick skin. As far as I can tell, some people here work in the form of Work&Travel, so I totally understand that the workflow may not always flow smoothly. However, the tone of some people's behavior is embarrassing.Added to this is the careless handling of the food on offer, which is preferred to be hoarded on the table and then thrown away before you go to the buffet a second time. Since our table is right there, I can observe this very well. Likewise, adults also prefer to help themselves to the “children's meal” on offer (if available, e.g. there were chicken nuggets and fish nuggets) instead of waiting a moment for the display to be refilled.

There are four of us on site right now, among other things. with our grandchild of almost 6 years. Given that this is a family-oriented house, it must be clearly stated that the dinner is in no way suitable for children. In the last week, a lot of children (including children U5) ate dry pasta and rice because there was simply no sauce that was suitable for children. Since we said something, there has been at least tomato sauce in the last few days and today mini schnitzel (nuggets ).I wonder what the team or management is thinking when creating the meal plan!? In this respect it was an absolute disaster, there is no other way to describe it.If you pay over 4000 euros for 3 weeks of half board you can probably expect child-friendly food! The breakfast buffet is perfectly fine, with plenty of choice, nothing is missing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are also well-equipped and mostly clean. The area is large, with a playground, volleyball court and fireplace. There is childcare and there are ketcars and bicycles available.CONCLUSION: All in all a good facility. If we would come again then definitely without a small child or without booking the evening buffet because there is definitely a massive need for action!!

I was there as part of a group meeting. The location is quiet, green surroundings not far to walk to the coast. Food is good, I was there twice and it was a little less good recently. But ok for the price. Nothing wrong with the rooms and beds etc. Clearly not a 4 star hotel. If you want to stay overnight cheaply and provide food at the same time, you're in good hands there. Rental bikes are also available
