Well, the rating was really low but we choosed the hotel anyways. It was cheap. We had a room with a shower and toilet and towels. The room was quite big and everything was clean. The floor was leaning quite a lot so it was easy to slide down in the bed. The breakfast was simple but good. Egg, juice, coffee or tea, bread with cheese, jam and ham. Tasted good.

Small hotel in a prime location in Lübeck's old town, you can get anywhere without any problems. Rooms are a bit rustic and you can see that renovations are taking place, but it didn't bother us and for this price in the location it was clear that a few compromises had to be made.We had a spacious double room with lots of old features, it was heated and after a bit of a wait, hot water came. Breakfast was ok and was even brought to the room, but we didn't get any on the last morning before checkout. All in all, a good stay in a historically rich property :)

It was terribly cold there, despite the heating. You can just hear everything through the walls, every single word from other guests. It smells musty when you come in. When we woke up, we thought the hotel was on fire because the room smelled so badly of smoke. My eyes were watering and we were actually afraid of smoke inhalation. It was really horrible. There wasn't even mineral water upon request, not in the room or at breakfast. We were offered tap water. The bed was fine, the bathroom was clean, the rest was dirty, scary and you had to be afraid that the blanket wouldn't crash onto the bed. I have no idea what the idea is behind this chamber of horrors, but it can't have anything to do with a lack of money, too many people have fallen for it and will continue to do so in the future... We've done our best to get out of there. Never never never again and I hope it gets closed!!!

!!! VICTORY IN COURT!!!After 14 months, we got justice and our money, including expenses for 2 appointments at the Lübeck district court, will be collected or enforced through the lawyer. If you have patience and want to fight, you have a good chance with meaningful evidence.Just threatening doesn't help because the owner is playing for time and doesn't want to lose.Maybe we were the first and are paving a path to justice.

109€ is completely exaggerated, way too expensive... when we came in, everything in the hallway was very run down and there was a smelly smell everywhere, including in the room. The room is from 1900 and the way it is furnished, you can't charge more than €40 a night for this run-down hole. The view from the window is simply rubbish everywhere. When we came in it was completely cold, the heating didn't really work, so I sat in a winter jacket all evening and had to put on thick clothes to go to sleep. We want to do something with the old man about the price because it just didn't suit us for that price because he promised us a nice apartment on the phone but of course that didn't work either so we had to pay €110 for that horrible night. Thanks for the back pain because of the uncomfortable bed. Never again …. The only positive thing is that the apartment is reasonably clean, a bit of dust here and there but otherwise it's fine.

We booked this hotel because everything else close to the old town was fully booked. The location is top. The staff are friendly but everything else leaves something to be desired. The rooms look like they are about to collapse and there are open electronics everywhere, exposed cables and the heating pipes were laid straight across our room which meant the heat was unbearable.I've never seen anything like this before...However, on a positive note, the beds were very clean and there was no mold anywhere.Anyone who likes this style can dare to spend a night here, but anyone who is used to a little luxury should avoid this "hotel".I think the price is too high for what you get here.

Very small historic hotel in the middle of the old town. The situation couldn't be better and it was a little adventure, a little journey back in time to the Middle Ages. The staff was very friendly to us. Our stay was short and pleasant, and despite the little chaos, the charm of the house comes across well. If you're looking for a luxurious hotel room, this is the wrong place, but for us it was just right.

Hello, the hotel is special and definitely not for demanding guests. Our large "Renaissancei room" on the 2nd floor with 5 windows facing the street was clean, had a large sofa, 2 armchairs, living room table, curtains and ceiling lamp (only one light worked) in the 70s style with a kitchenette, mini table and chair under a slant. The metal beds of different lengths with hard mattresses were ok for us. The bathroom was clean but very narrow. The sink was the size of a plate, no counter space and we adventurously juggled our 60-year-old alabaster bodies between the shower, toilet and sink. There was a slightly musty smell in the room, but regular ventilation and my favorite perfume helped. With just a few changes, more could be done with the room (e.g. doing away with crooked curtains, instead using colorful blinds, pictures, etc.)... But: despite some obvious shortcomings (e.g. plastic buckets to collect any... rainwater under an indentation in the room wall). This was mainly due to the friendly staff member who prepared breakfast for us and even served it to us in the room on the last day. Thanks! The breakfast (rolls, jam, organic honey, jam, salami, mortadella, egg, juice and coffee) is calculated so that it is enough and nothing has to be thrown away, so it's basically "sustainable". WiFi works great. The location of the hotel is great. Hit it twice and you're at the Große Burgstrasse bus stop, from where the buses leave at great intervals. Restaurants, pints, culture... everything within walking distance. Conclusion: there are better accommodations in a similar price range, but if you are undemanding and are looking for accommodation in a central location, this is the right place for you.

If you like horror, this is the right place for you.The worst hotel I have ever experienced. The top room is life-threatening...whoever opens the window there is at risk of smoke inhalation. The chimney of the pellet heater is right next to the window.Just a nightmare. But you have to mention that the staff is very friendly and helpful.
