The hotel's location is good, with Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Wurzburg, Heidelberg all being about an hour drive away. The Kocher Valley and the nearby Jagst Valley give plenty of opportunity for walking and cycling. …

The owners are very nice, but the size of the room was a big surprise, it is quite big. I can recommend very good food in the beer garden. Another surprise was a breakfast card where you should mark the food and quantity of bread you will eat for the breakfast... I did not see something like this before...

Stayed here for the 5th time last week. And absolutely great for the 5th time. Rooms are very good and the beds excellent. The breakfast is delicious and fresh and everything you need is available.The host and hostess are super friendly and loving. Yes, really coming home to Sylvana and Herman. It is also possible to dine in the associated restaurant "Le Clochard", which is very tasty. And for vegetarians, just ask Herman and he will make something delicious vegetarian for you. He's a fine cook. We are already looking forward to the 6th time at Nothwang.Thank you Sylvana and Herman for another wonderful stay with you.

The staff was friendly, the owner initially made a nice impression. Unfortunately, I didn't see the anti-vegan sign in advance and didn't read the reviews, otherwise I wouldn't have booked there because I don't want to be indifferent to such intolerant people on my vacation, no matter how friendly they seem. Why be so discriminatory must occur is not clear.Since the hotel's restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and there is no restaurant nearby other than the Hotel Krone, which is located in the same town, we were referred to the Krone (probably by the hotelier's son) on site (with the advice that they would do it). always do it so that on rest days they send their guests to the Krone), which also has a rest day on Mondays and Tuesdays, but only supplies their own house guests with food.When we went to eat at the Krone, we were told very emphatically that the hotel owner always sends his guests to the Krone on these two days without clarifying this with the Krone in advance. The Crown employees were not very pleased with this approach because the Crown also did not want to have unannounced guests on their rest days. They served us very friendly, but as a guest you don't feel particularly comfortable if you're not actually wanted.Breakfast for us at Nothwang consisted of light baked rolls that had the consistency of rusks and the jams, butter, etc. were offered in plastic packaging that is not very sustainable. The fruit didn't look very inviting (bananas from the fridge that were already mostly brown, peaches and strawberries already had bruises.) It's a shame...

We celebrated my birthday in the rustic next room. Clean and tastefully decorated.All of my 24 guests were thrilled by the friendliness and good service. The service was courteous and prompt and always a kind word.There is a large selection of delicious dishes, freshly prepared.The absolute highlight was the meat skewer.A successful evening with satisfied guests. There is nothing more to expect.I thank you very much.

Very large room. Comfortable bed. Everything made a good and well-kept impression. We were able to store our bikes safely.The dinner in the restaurant was very tasty. We didn't miss anything at breakfast.Checking in and out went great.It's a very small hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.
