The campsite itself was delightful – a serene and cozy spot, blissfully free from the hustle and bustle of crowds. However, I must admit that the staff's level of assistance left much to be desired. Guests were left to navigate everything on their own, often encountering challenges along the way. For instance, wastewater disposal proved to be a significant issue, and obtaining clean water was no easy task. It became evident that a few simple onboarding guidelines provided by the staff would have alleviated many of these problems. While the campsite did come with its charms, it did have a downside – the overall cost, compounded by additional charges. Despite the appealing setting, the pricing seemed rather steep, and the extra expenses further added to the financial burden. In summary, the campsite offered a peaceful and comfortable retreat, but the lack of helpful staff made it a bit of a do-it-yourself adventure. With clearer instructions and support, most of the challenges faced by guests could have been easily resolved. Additionally, a reconsideration of the pricing structure could make this otherwise lovely campsite a more attractive and well-rounded destination.

We camped with our camper van. We arrived late (getting our bearings in Rügen for the inexperienced is no easy thing), but despite a thousand difficulties, we phoned Frau Engel who allowed us in. The place is fantastic, all around nature and animals that our daughter loved. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! Great campsite in the forest. A lot of space for everyone and walking distance from the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Just don’t forget to bring cash if you are a foreigner. They don’t accept Visa or MasterCard. Many facilities at the camp including “tiny zoo”, they have rabbits and alpacas. Nature around is stunning. In one day we have seen a fox, a deer and an otter. One downside is mosquitos but can also depend on a day and weather. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

First camping experience was great! The campsite is pretty close to on Rügen, about 15 minutes by car from Bergen (A car is highly recommended to get around on the island). It's a very cute location, very close to the bay, which makes it perfect for beautiful sunsets, amazing sky colours and to watch the stars all while getting eaten by the hungry mosquitos. I would recommend to bring a lot of spray and a net, they are thirsty for blood.Overall great camping, the people at the reception are very friendly and ready to help.Toilets and bath is very clean.Only negative point, I would not recommend the bar/ restaurant "Zum Kuckuck". The people running the place are extremely unfriendly, rude and they are antimasks.Would come back.

Just passed by and couldn't check in as creditecard was not accepted. Sweden is way ahead on this case. Pity as the sight looked nice (but lots of moskitos acc to a guest just left) . We asked for possibility to empty "black water" but was rejected (politely) even after offering to pay. Here are some improvements to make. Good luck.

Just Don't!Most unfriendly staff ever. Tried to book a sleeping hut, called several times and wrote multiple emails, eventually getting a verbal confirmation. 10 minutes later I am being informed that the hut is not available anymore as it has been booked online - although spontaneous online booking is not possible at all. When asking how we can solve this issue I am being hung up with the words "I don't have time for this." - I'm just stunned by this ignorance and service level far below 0.

A beautiful place for families to enjoy nature, animals and just themselves. As a bonus:(1) Campsite serves as a great homebase to discover the island Rügen (even back to the mainland Stralsund).(2) A nature discovery trail next to the campsite, where the whole family finds something to learn.(3) The opportunity to order fresh rolls and eggs for breakfast.@Banzelvitzer Campsite Team: Thank you for your kindness and hospitality this fall.

Nice camping, only on toilet in one of the bathrooms. Bathrooms are sometimes closed due to cleaning stuff locking the doors with brooms.
